Job Description

Freshworks is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager to support our sales and marketing organizations and help scale Freshworks' rapid growth. As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will spearhead transformative initiatives, manage critical components of our global employee travel program, drive strategic sourcing projects, and collaborate closely with peer Sourcing Managers to ensure alignment on functional strategies. This high-impact role offers an opportunity to develop and implement category strategies, optimize service relationships with global providers, and contribute to the long-term success of Freshworks.

Day-to-day you'll:

• Lead various transformation initiatives to support organizational scalability and growth

• Manage key aspects of the global employee travel program to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness

• Drive strategic sourcing projects and initiatives

• Collaborate with peer Sourcing Managers to align functional strategies and drive synergies

• Develop and implement category strategies to optimize service relationships with global providers

• Provide strategic guidance on structuring service agreements to maximize value for Freshworks

• Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth and development

Please note this is a hybrid role with onsite expectations of 3x/ week (Tue-Thur) from our San Mateo (HQ), Bellevue, or Denver office locations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to apply rigorous logic and sound methodologies to solve complex problems

• Proven track record of negotiating effectively with key suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes

• Experience in developing and implementing competitive negotiation strategies

• Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders, including senior management

• Proficiency in financial analysis to ensure favorable returns for the company

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels

• Comprehensive understanding of contractual terms and negotiation principles

• Experience working with globally distributed teams, both internal and external

• Prior experience in developing and mentoring employees

Additional Information

California Pay Range: $208,800 - $300,000+ This range includes base+bonus. You may also be eligible for equity and additional generous company benefits.
