Role & Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing MPC Packaging Sourcing and Procurement operation to support MPC Packaging Operation.

Works independently, and considered an experienced professional with adequate understanding of own job area. Continuous effort on process improvement, cost efficiency and monitor all purchasing and sourcing activities in accordance with ethical business standards and established policies and procedures.

Role and Responsibilities

In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:

  • Lead and supervise team of buyers and sourcing specialists to follow policy and procedures to support MPC Packaging Operation

  • Manage team's KPI (Key Performance Index) and provide guidance on areas of improvement

  • Manage supplier contracts, performance and allocation mix minimizing risks and clear KPI for transparency to receive good quality product at the lowest price

  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the best prices and the most optimum delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment while enhancing efficiency

  • Develop and execution of strategy plan, process improvement and innovation projects. Monitor project status and results to leadership team

  • Supports assigned organizations to fulfill the procurement and sourcing needs and requirements of product development projects and activities.

  • Manage expenditure, work with team to reduce exception spending though process improvement

  • Prepares and presents reports, provides information to identify requirements, and communicates and reports performance against plans and business objectives.

  • Manages overall procurement activities and inventory level to maximize effect with minimal cost

  • Manages projects and activities to ensure conformance to plans and the timely and effective achievement of results

  • Assists in the communication of purchasing/sourcing policies and practices to relevant groups of employee customers.

  • Ability to respond to internal and external customer inquiries professionally and effectively.

  • Proven experience in financial analysis to ensure that negotiated agreements provide the best possible returns for the company.

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels with the customer and within and outside the company.

  • Plan, organize and prioritize multiple complex assignments and projects.

  • In-depth knowledge and expertise with MS Project, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Access

  • Read and interpret detailed and complex customer requirements.

  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels, especially in sales and marketing, logistical or financial areas of clients, prospects, and SEA.

  • Work independently and in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames.

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications/Working condition:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business administration, or a related field from a four-year accredited college or university is required

  • Fluent in Korean language written and verbal is required

  • 8+ years of sourcing, purchasing or supply chain experience required

  • 3-5+ years of lead or supervisor role

  • Ability to respond and work a fast-paced high stress environment

  • Travel to customer locations, trade shows, etc.

  • Ability to work additional hours beyond normal schedule
