Summary:

The Senior Sourcing Manager for the terminal business is responsible for developing sourcing strategies to reduce costs while fostering a relationship with operations and leadership within the terminal business. A successful candidate should have experience in leading sourcing events and category analysis. Experience in the midstream space is also desired. The scope of the position will include execution of sourcing processes, contract & supplier management, development of supplier scorecards. In addition, the Senior Sourcing Manager will lead a team of two sourcing specialists and be responsible for directing and prioritizing efforts for those individuals while working cross functionally with operations, finance, and legal teams. Position may be based in Dallas or Philadelphia

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead analysis, development and implementation of cost savings initiatives

  • Provide strategic inputs and supply market information to guide business decisions and act as a conduit for procurement activities

  • Lead negotiations, contract development, and vendor management to meet sourcing needs for Operations while obtaining the best cost for the business

  • Work with appropriate operations team to identify areas of opportunity to meet or exceed savings targets for that particular business vertical.

  • Quantify savings related to opportunity and work with business team to ensure savings are realized through vendor management and budget process

  • Conduct ongoing business reviews to ensure suppliers are performing to contracted obligations and service levels

  • Apply "big picture" thinking to projects to help guide strategic decisions for the business

  • Provide advice to direct reports regarding procurement processes and protocol and apply appropriate solutions to issues for stakeholders.

  • Provide day to day direction to team, staffing, performance management, annual objective setting and tracking against targets

  • Lead a team of people that report both directly and work collaboratively with cross functional teams to drive the best outcomes

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, or technical discipline, MBA preferred

  • Experience in managing and developing direct reports

  • Experience in supporting supplier portfolio development

  • Customer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable

  • Proven record of driving cost savings throughout a complex organization

  • Ability to structure and manage complex projects

  • Service-oriented mindset, with a desire to ensure client satisfaction

  • Ability to think strategically, conceptually and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendations

  • Years of work experience: 10 - 15 years of midstream experience

  • Data analytics, sourcing, procurement systems, and customer service.

  • Business software applications: Microsoft Office, APTTUS/Agiloft or other contract management software, and SAP or other purchasing software.

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.

  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
