Based in East Coast USA, with atleast 30% travel within US (mainly East-Central USA) for client meetings and participate in media events

Main Job Purpose

Provide both a consultancy service to customers and support to the UK based sales team covering opportunities all over in Europe. Use knowledge of the company's products and services to translate customer requirements into functional, effective and appropriate solutions for the prospective customer base extending heavily in the media & broadcast segment particularly in the Sports & Broadcast sector.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support the development of business opportunities in conjunction with the sales team. Where appropriate provide consultancy, assist in the qualification processes to aid customers in the development of their requirements.

  • Actively participate in the RFI/RFP process and development of the technical aspects of proposals in line with customer needs, liaising and qualifying with other colleagues as necessary. Present technical solutions to customers both formally and informally as required

  • To author the Technical Sections of Proposals for prospective customers for handover to delivery team.

  • To validate appropriate order documentation initiated by sales prior to submission to the order desk or in the case of projects, to brief Project Management and Engineering to ensure they are equipped to deliver the solution.

  • To provide additional information and advice to Service Delivery and to Operations and answer referrals, during the implementation phase of a sold service.

  • Ensuring that customer solutions remain fit for purpose throughout their lifecycle by conducting regular customer reviews and initiating appropriate change. To keep the customer aware of emerging technologies, products and services.

  • To maintain and develop knowledge of telecommunications & media products and services, specifically related to an assigned 'Subject Matter Expert' area.

  • Collaboration: Provide product knowledge transfer to other members of the sales organisation & peers across other regions to enhance their ability to use products to create customer solutions.

Purpose

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor degree or higher in engineering (preferable Video or Network Engineering) or equivalent in networking or digital media

  • Successful track record in the telecommunications & entertainment/broadcast arena ideally from a global tier 1 ISP or network provider & broadcasting group, with at least 7 - 8 years' experience and demonstrable track record in designing complex Enterprise and Media/Satellite solutions.

  • Must have performed Pre-Sales role with a minimum of 2 - 4 year experience, with demonstrable technical, commercial (business cases) and contractual negotiation success in large TCV (>$2-4m) solutions.

  • Having knowledge and experience in designing innovate and complex solutions in Media network & satellite is one of the KEY requirement.

  • Knowledge & understanding of enterprise technology like Ethernet, MPLS, IP is a MUST for this role. x

  • Time Management Skills Ability to multi task, understanding of complex internal systems and meet multiple timelines

  • Strong written, oral communication skills to include presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and a professional business image

  • Customer focused, Results oriented. Consultative approach to providing customer solutions and design

  • Experience with working and supporting global broadcasters, sports events, & enterprise customers.

  • Voice/Video based collaboration technologies. Exposure & understanding of media management services like CDN, Linear Channel or File Transfer, Playout, VOD, OVP, OTT will add weightage.

  • Experience in dealing with IP, Ethernet, having network awareness is a must.

  • Industry leading certifications (CCNA/CCIP/CCNP, Broadcast Certifications)

  • Known languages: Apart from English, knowing other languages like French, German will add more weight to the application
