  • Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure high quality and timely delivery of software that provides business value to our customers

  • A critical part of this role is fostering positive partnerships with other leads from Software Development, Product Management and Quality Assurance to drive quality goals and objectives

  • Develop processes and methodologies to ensure production defects are resolved while continuously implementing precautionary measures to improve processes and tools

  • Implement and maintain process controls through quality planning techniques

  • Act as an internal consultant, bold problem solver and lead retrospectives/lessons learned sessions

  • Use Lessons Learned, KPI performance and retrospectives to identify opportunities for ongoing improvement.

  • Work as a catalyst for effective implementation of corrective and preventative actions

  • Conduct business process audits and report non-conformance through dashboards

  • Generate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and share QA metrics on escaped defects for various projects/programs

  • Develop and monitor key metrics to validate and improve the quality and efficiency of software and supporting processes.


  • Strong SDLC/STLC background as well as hands on experience with software QA analytics

  • Self-starter and well-organized individual with commitment to details, attention to product quality and willingness to take ownership of responsibilities

  • Must be a change leader: ability to adapt, assimilate, initiate, support and reinforce change in line with dynamic nature of Gogo's environment

  • Ability to influence business units and partners without direct control of resources

  • Skilled in the application of metrics to drive decisions/actions

  • Talented facilitator with experience in running workshops

  • Ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels and positively transform the organizational culture to adapt to improved processes and performance metrics

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills

  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a diverse leadership team

  • Excellent investigation, troubleshooting and analytical skills to be able to isolate the software issues

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with date-driven schedules

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

  • Experienced in driving software compliance to industry standards (i.e. ISO, TL, etc.)

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in working in fast-paced Aviation, OEM, technology or manufacturing industry

  • Experience with Agile software development environment (Scaled Agile Framework preferred) including design, testing and deployment

  • Experience in driving software change control process management

  • Successful candidate will be a focused, organized, self-motivated individual, able to achieve high impact changes in fast paced and dynamic environment

Summary: In this role, you will apply Agile and SDLC Quality Assurance (QA) methodology and standards to verify and validate products meet specifications and customer acceptance criteria. You will create and execute enterprise, web-based, services and client server applications test plans and cases and log defects. You will demonstrate strong analytical problem solving, communication skills, and attention to detail by extensively documenting test procedures, expected results, and defects. Responsibilities: * Create test cases, plans, and scripts based on story defined acceptance criteria. * Identify, document, and report bugs, errors, and other issues with software applications. * Develop, verify, and manage change requests for each component of a project solution. * Analyze and identify all issues in requirements and design and assist to provide resolution. * Prepare solid test cases that can be automated, executed, and logged. * Raise defects in the defect tracking system. * Design traceability matrix to match the test scripts with the functional design document. * Test complex ETL mappings and sessions based on business user requirements and rules to load data from source flat files and RDBMS tables to target tables. Qualifications: * Relevant degree preferred. * 2 or more years of proficiency in SQL, Toad, SQL Developer for QA validation and Microsoft SQL server required. * Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (C#, Java), AGILE stories sizing, Rally and writing SQL Statements required. * Familiarity with Informatica/SSIS/Snaplogic and ETL tools/methodology in testing preferred.
