Duties: Develop, enhance, and support the trade order management functionality within an Agile team.
Mobile Development for the Android version of the Retail Schwab Mobile platform. Being a part of a production support on-call rotation which can occasionally require unplanned after-hours work. Learn and adhere to proprietary Schwab coding standards and frameworks beyond the native technology packages provided by Google.
At Schwab mobile development uses two proprietary frameworks, Everest and Mars. Master object oriented development and design using the Kotlin programming language to competently develop using the Mars framework. Position allows for partial remote work.
Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, TX. Subject to Schwab's internal approach to workplace flexibility.
Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $177,117.99 to $246,800 per year
What you have
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
Requires 6 years of progressive, post-Bachelor's related experience, which include some experience in each of the following skills: Writing high performance and stable code using Kotlinand Java programming languages within enterprise scale, customer facing mobile applications; Java; Android Development Studio, Android SDK, and Google's Android Studio tool suite todeliver modern and efficient android applications; Android's current concurrency framework (Coroutines) related to the mobile application domain; Dependency injection with Dagger or Hiltframework as a part of developing enterprise level, customer facing mobile applications; Jetpack Compose to deliver modern, declarative user interfaces in compliance with Android best practices; and Deciphering and addressing runtime crash reports of large scale customer facing applications to triage complex production issues including documenting, debugging, and resolving findings.
