This role entails demonstrating strong leadership skills while overseeing a team responsible for all facets of reverse logistics supply planning across various programs. The team's primary focus is to efficiently manage the reverse flow of handsets from field returns, encompassing scenarios like buyer's remorse, warranty & insurance returns, dealer returns, retail stock balancing, end-of-life (EOL) management, and more. As a leader, it's crucial to inspire and empower team members to excel in their roles, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities include forecasting, inventory management, excess and obsolete (E&O) handling, inventory reporting, creating build plans, and coordinating supply across multiple programs and service providers. A key aspect of leadership in this role involves providing guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them develop their skills and achieve professional growth. Additionally, collaboration with internal and external teams is essential to align on performance objectives and establish suitable budgets, showcasing strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Other tasks encompass ad hoc reporting, product lifecycle management, cost analysis, and developing and documenting processes. Effective leadership in these areas involves being proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, and driving initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise weekly build plan process and meeting with 3rd party to ensure supply is being utilized most efficiently. Facilitate and lead weekly inventory disposition process and meeting with 3rd party to ensure inventory is being utilized most efficiently. Implements the refinement and improvements of supply planning processes and systems to support business requirements.

  • Work cross-functionally with demand planning team to gain understanding of demand trends and inbound forecasts. Oversee cross-functional team to identify obsolete inventory in a timely manner and to fully understand any gaps in supply and demand.

  • Communicate impacts of any supply shortages that could limit supply to support sales channels and warranty programs.

  • Ensures supply forecast is shared/received in the format, level of detail, and timing required by all customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptions. Analyzes performance and trends, identifies opportunities and risks, and proactively communicates to cross-functional teams.

  • Manages overall inventory budget and levels in accordance with departmental quarterly inventory level goals.

  • Supervise and deliver weekly reporting as part of the weekly inventory management process. Communicates clearly all affected parties, and maintains file and weekly process.

  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Work Experience

  • 7-10 years experience in supply chain planning, SAP-APO and/or other planning software knowledge. (Required)
  • 2-4 years Management/Leadership of a team. (Required)
