The Biossance team is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Retail Marketing to join the Global Marketing team. This critical role will help advance the brand within our North American retail landscape to drive sales, awareness, and ranking. With a deep knowledge of the beauty retail environment, you'll lead the strategic retail marketing initiatives and build localized plans across the US and Canadian markets with the goal of solidifying Biossance as a results-driven, forward-thinking, purpose-led brand.
The ideal candidate is a results-oriented creative thinker who is passionate about developing ambitious action plans to drive brand relevance while propelling the business forward. This role will report to the VP, Global Content + Community.
Responsibilities:
Strategize and implement retail marketing strategies across North American markets that ensure relevancy and cohesiveness with overall brand mission while adapting tactics for each region
Serve as the main point-of-contact for all NA retail partners, facilitating requests on time and within budget
Initiate and manage the creation of all outward-facing retail presentations including Market Week, launches, gratis, and product assortment with the goal of effectively maintaining merchant/sales/marketing relationships
Spearhead proactive and reactive pitching opportunities with retailers for advantageous exclusives and consistent exposure across all channels
Lead retail launch strategy, owning the full work stream from onboarding to planning to execution
Manage retail briefing with the internal cross-functional teams and external agencies as needed that aligns with the brand expression across launches, campaigns, VM, product pages, consumer engagement, and digital assets
Partner with the product marketing and social teams to support co-op campaigns, active sampling, and influencer activations that accelerate brand awareness, conversion, and new customer acquisition
Collaborate with education and field sales on retailer trainings, masterclass opportunities, store takeovers, brand partnerships, and experiential events
Measure and report on performance success and KPIs that show retail effectiveness while informing enhanced strategy and optimized programs
Consistently monitor the competitive retail landscape and best practices to stay ahead of in-store trends
Qualifications:
8+ years experience in retail marketing, preferably in beauty and/or retail
A proven track record within the Sephora retail landscape in successfully launching new products and executing creative marketing plans
Possess the ability to think big and adapt to shifting retail demands to deliver continued value
Exceptional analytical skills and financial acumen
Thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment without losing sight of the customer experience
Deep knowledge on current marketing trends, media industry news, and retail innovation
Highly organized with ability to project manage and execute large campaigns/projects from start to finish
Strong presentation skills
