SUMMARY Support the purchasing function and will carry out a variety of tasks and functions in support of the production line. Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels, inventory mix, and overall efficiency and profitability of the product line. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate daily purchasing activities with the Buyers and to maintain part shortages to an overall average of 7 days.

  • Coordinate requirements from programs and products support to the purchasing department and follow-up to confirm orders are filled.

  • Track prices received from suppliers and to validate any yearly increase.

  • Follow up with suppliers to confirm quotes and deliveries.

  • Assist Buyers in clearing rejected material.

  • Follow backlog reports and inform Buyers when replacement material needs to be located.

  • Develop a sourcing strategy on our top surplus vendors to improve cost saving of 5 % or back end rebate agreements

  • Coordinate vendor performance between the buyers and the suppliers to achieve long-term results and enable continuous improvement

  • Travel is required.
