The opportunity

Are you a finance professional looking for an exceptional opportunity in the field? Look no further! CWB Maxium is seeking an Senior Manager, Program Finance. The Program Finance group provides wholesale structured financing through private securitization, asset-backed term debt, and revolving credit facilities to non-bank lenders and financial institutions. Clients range from traditional asset finance companies to newer Fintech enterprises.The primary focus of this position is to provide comprehensive account management for assigned existing and newly originated CWB Maxium Programs which by their nature are highly structured transactions. This role reports to the Managing Director, Program Finance.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify financial risks in any existing or proposed program to mitigate those risks through the application of structured finance to maintain expected losses of nil.

  • Prepare annual Program Customer tactical plans, including volumes/revenues and expenses, for CWB Maxium approval

  • Provide accurate monthly business volume forecasts and profitability in a form and level of detail acceptable to CWB Maxium

  • Build and maintain assigned Program Customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and updates

  • Work closely with the Managing Director, Program Finance to foster new Customer relationships and on boarding new Programs

  • Promote awareness of CWB Group's various business offerings to increase account penetration and maximize corporate sales revenues

  • Attend site visits with or without Program Audit Manager, as required

  • Preparation of customer Discussion Papers, new Credit Applications, as well as Interim and Annual customer credit reviews for presentation to appropriate credit authority level, including credit committee

  • Preparation of the Master Purchase and Servicing Agreements (MPSA), Master Loan Program Agreements (MLPA), or other master agreements in conjunction with legal, as required

  • Provide oversight on Program Warehouse facilities and Tranche fundings and assist in the implementation and ongoing use of any new software systems used to track tranche fundings at the individual loan level

  • Ensure customer compliance with master agreement triggers and covenants

  • Prepare various monthly and quarterly Program Customer reports as may be required

Who we're looking for & what you've done

Education

  • Bachelors' Degree in commerce, finance or accounting or related discipline is required

Professional Experience

  • 6-10 years financial services experience within functions of commercial lending or financial analysis

  • Experience in credit adjudication supported by well-developed skills in financial statement analysis and knowledge of effective risk mitigation strategies for credit underwriting

  • Strong business development focus

  • Strong negotiation, influencing and collaboration skills with the ability to work across business units

  • Demonstrated decision making skills and ability and confidence to assess complex scenarios and make appropriate recommendations

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects ensuring timelines as required are met

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, timelines, responsiveness and insight in all areas of work

  • Team player able to work well with colleagues while striving to meet personal goals

  • General knowledge of collateral security and loan documentation requirements

  • Strong computer and business modelling skills
