We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to build new ReCommerce programs for FBA Sellers. The opportunity requires application of Day 1 mindset to innovate on behalf of sellers to drive reuse, while diverting waste from landfills. You will leverage your strong seller partner obsession to drive engagement in ReCommerce (e.g. Donations, Liquidations, and Selling as Used), in partnership with worldwide Account Management, Operations, and Product teams. You will also design scalable processes to build a business ground-up focusing on eliminating seller challenges related to customer returns and overstock inventory and with an eye on sustainability.

This leader will be responsible for:

  • Managing end to end ReCommerce programs for FBA Sellers in partnership with worldwide stakeholders, while scrutinizing the business with laser focus.

  • Owning financial performance of ReCommerce by Amazon, creating business plans for driving seller adoption and scaling the program to thousands of sellers globally.

  • Building a team to ensure successful Seller engagement in ReCommerce.

  • Working with global stakeholder teams to share best practices and drive application of best practices across regions.

  • Defining seller engagement strategy, communication plans, and prioritize marketing effort with cross-functional global teams, while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance, Technology or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology.

  • 6+ years of experience managing teams.

  • Experience defining business strategy and roadmap.

  • Experience working with and influencing stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated skills in launching projects, conducting customer research and driving product adoption.

  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects.

  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses.

  • Experience building processes, project managing schedules, and employing effective risk management to large programs.

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Master's in Business Administration, Sciences or related field.

  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders successfully without formal authority and lead cross-functional teams across geographies and business units.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is required and ambiguity is constant.

VIEW JOBS 5/20/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-08-18T00:00 Amazon's WW Operations - Real Estate & Building Design team is seeking a Disaster Recovery Program Manager to develop and standardize protocols and response to disasters affecting Amazon Operations, including leading cross-functional teams to execute on those protocols during disaster events. This role will be a key part of WW Operations, focused on identifying mechanisms and protocols for the physical repair and recovery of damaged assets across North American Operations. A successful candidate will partner with existing security crisis management teams in the early triage of a loss, spinning up a recovery team of appropriate stakeholders including Facilities, Safety, and Operations, and vendors to manage the physical recovery of damaged buildings where beyond the capabilities of the local teams. You will partner closely with Risk Management, Legal, and Global Security to provide regular written and verbal updates in the physical recovery efforts. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, with Bias for Action and an ability to Deliver Results in a collaborative approach within and outside the organization. You have a proven ability to earn trust quickly in crisis events, leveraging vendors when needed, and navigating the process of physical repair and recovery of facilities and assets. Your expertise is in process and program management, with a high ability to leverage functional expertise throughout an organization. Responsibilities * Develop and publish policies, plans, and methods for managing the physical response, repair and recovery aspects of disaster events that affect Amazon building assets. Centralized visibility to functional protocols developed by others. * Lead process improvement projects related to crisis management, business continuity, and emergency response plans for large events of damage or operational impact, including mapping of existing process and future processes. * Establish and manage roster of key stakeholders critical to the physical recovery of damaged assets, including identification of a jump-team within the organization and across stakeholder teams for rapid response. * Develop and train stakeholders on overall coordinated recovery process, allowing each critical stakeholder to be knowledgeable of how their function fits into the broader recovery objective. * Evaluate and capture metrics related to disaster response and recovery, including operational resumption time, repair time, and other key metrics. * Evaluate and develop tools, systems, and technology for bringing visibility to leadership and stakeholders on active recovery projects and timeline to full recovery. * Lead cross-department after-action-reviews, focused on the recovery aspects of the disaster event. * Collaborate with Procurement and Asset Management in dispatch of rapid response vendors including structural engineers, restoration vendors, and similar, particularly where Landlord resources are constrained. * Coordinate with Risk Management, Legal, Loss Prevention, and Health & Safety on investigation efforts into origin and cause of loss events, where appropriate. * Identify and standardize utilization of a centralized document repository for managing disaster recovery events. * Publish regular business reviews, highlighting key metrics, successes, and key learnings, that can be incorporated into design standards, operational practices, and emergency response processes. * Participate as a stakeholder reviewer of emergency response plans, and similar self-service tools for site leaders to effectively triage disaster events and coordinate with the broader disaster recovery jump-team. * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience * Ten or more years in emergency management, crisis management, risk management, or similar for commercial buildings * Three or more years managing physical repairs to damaged commercial buildings, assets, and/or key infrastructure * Demonstrated ability to establish processes, workflows, standard procedures using Visio, Smartsheets, MS Project, Gantt charts, or similar process and project management tools * Certification in FEMA disaster preparedness, Incident Command training, or equivalent * Basic knowledge of commercial buildings, critical buildings systems, and real estate infrastructure * Strong project management skills, PM certification or similar with ability to set timelines, milestones, and track toward completion within a high-stress, fast paced environment * Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate quickly, clearly, effectively, and with proper professionalism * An excellent ability to build trust among colleagues and service partners * Availability for on-call rotations after hours and weekends for emergency response support of local operations teams * Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and on short notice to support recovery efforts * Extensive experience working with corporate security and safety organizations for integration and collaboration of crisis response and recovery * Advanced knowledge of the design and repair practices of commercial buildings, critical building systems, and real estate infrastructure * Familiarity with NFPA921 fire investigation protocols and processes Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
