Manages and leads a procurement organization of procurement manager professionals that support a major functional area or region of the global business.
The Main Responsibilities
Builds strong relationships with both internal and external customers, suppliers
Communicates company requirements across multiple business units
Recognized as a subject matter expert for both the company and the commodities used across all business functions
Manages $500M in annual spend across team
Team focus is on Real Estate and Critical Infrastructure Services, including construction and equipment purchases
Manages up to 5-6 FTE's on negotiation strategy, sets savings targets based on spend and business plans for year
Specific focus on contract management and contract negotiation
Survey existing vendor landscape and associated capabilities (products and geographies served) and more efficiently leveraging spend on smaller vendor set
What We Look For in a Candidate
10+ years related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 8+ years related experience with Masters degree
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Proven cross functional leadership skills and experience
Ability to work with various levels of management within the organization including executives
Experience with RFP / RFx catalog preferred
Telecom or technology experience preferred
CPM / CSPM or other recognized industry certification is a plus
Strong organizational and personal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Requires tight coordination with customer facing legal teams to ensure service schedules for customers reflect supplier terms
Requires ability to build repeatable and scalable process for contract templates, contract processing and appropriate approvals
Requires ability to interface with Real Estate and Network leadership to understand strategy and roadmap for CenturyLink go forward supplier criteria and selections
Possesses intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills
