Main Purpose of Role:
The PLM Solution Architect for Global R&D will be responsible for aligning the guidance from PepsiCo Enterprise Architecture, SI recommendations and requirements from 3rd party PLM software providers. The role will govern and support the implementation of the Global R&D Template to planned deployments across North America, Europe, APAC, and AMESA. Governance
objectives are to ensure that PLM is deployed with Global R&D processes and leveraging a "Why Not Standard" PepsiCo to minimize customizations. This role will adopt and champion PepsiCo Agile and Waterfall Model principles and best practices leading function solution and design with ongoing agile iterations. The PLM Solution Architect will work in close partnership with the R&D product manager/ owners, PepsiCo Enterprise Architecture, SI architects and 3rd party
software engineers in implementing solutions as part of Global R&D processes.
PepsiCo's PLM program is a multi-year initiative to elevate PepsiCo R&D capability to capture and digitize
our end-to-end innovation process. PLM on the priority minimum requirements enabling PepsiCo to stay compliant globally in an ever more demanding and complex environment. The long-term vision is that the R&D Global Template will be deployed to all sectors replacing existing legacy solutions.
Accountabilities:
Primary accountability is to own R&D PLM functional design and govern the process & solution for PLM Deployments
Support decision-making for functional and technical topics across multiple deployments for process & solution
Ensure the PLM solution integrity globally by closely monitoring solution configuration (design decisions, data impact analysis, process definition documents, and customization vs. configuration rational)
Actively lead, engage and educate business process owners, SMEs and leadership on functional and data design solutions and changes
Ensure re-use and lift & shift of PLM capabilities across deployments and future implementations
Lead and collaborate with scrum team implementers ensure user story values and acceptance criteria are met
Support onboarding, training, and solution governance with PLM DEVSECOPS team
Coach and collaborate with PLM team members on functional configuration and technical development
Adopt and adhere to Waterfall and then Agile principles and values
Work closely with delivery lead, and IT Director in building functional competency with DEVSECOPS team, and building functional bench within PepsiCo
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $114,700 - $192,100 based on a full-time schedule.
Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Tech Skills:
Strong experience in end to end R&D Product Lifecycle Management solutions in configuration, development, and implementation, including integration across R&D functional disciplines (e.g. Product Development, Formulation, Regulatory Affairs, Food Safety, Supplier Quality Assurance, Packaging, etc.) preferred
Deep, broad functional and solution knowledge of Recipe Development/ Specification Management solutions in processes including: Ingredients, Packaging, Formulation, Regulatory compliance/checks, Labeling rules/configurations.
Working knowledge of Siemen's TeamCenter preferred
Functional knowledge of Food Chain ID preferred
Strong experience in end to end R&D Product Lifecycle Management solutions in configuration, development, and implementation, including integration across R&D functional disciplines (e.g. Product Development, Formulation, Regulatory Affairs, Food Safety, Supplier Quality Assurance, Packaging, etc.)
Familiarity with master data objects required to support all Specification Management processes
Strong R&D Product Lifecycle Management experience in a global solution development, support, and governance capacity preferred
Experience with large, multi-national consumer goods business processes related to specifications across multiple categories (Bev/Snacks) preferred
Previous solution architect and leadership role on a major R&D transformation project required
Non-Tech Skills:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
Master's degree preferred
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple 3rd parties and internal customers including technical and business colleagues across various cultures and time zones
Ability to communicate and articulate recommendations and decisions to IT and R&D leadership
Proven ability to prioritize and delegate deliverables to a dotted line team of employees and contractors
R&D software implementation experience required
Siemen's TeamCenter experience preferred
Food Chain ID experience strongly valued
Proven expertise solving highly complex problems within
the work team, and with cross functional teams
Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments including technical teams, 3rd party contractors and internal leadership
Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences
