JOB SUMMARY Manages the corporate support service functions of the Physical Security and Facilities to ensure that all areas of ERCOT remain safe, secure, and well-maintained. Establishes and implements best practices for the organizations physical security program involving security operations, policies and standards, architecture, compliance controls, awareness, threat monitoring and risk management. Provides business units with advisory as well as hands-on physical security services.

Develops working relationships with local and state authorities and provides advisories to respond effectively when the threat and crime level changes. Ensures overall operational performance readiness, reliability and integrity of equipment and facilities systems throughout the organization. Plans, organizes, develops and directs the overall operation of ERCOT facilities in accordance with policies, procedures, current Federal, State and local standards.

Manages the staff that delivers and maintains the environmental health, safety and maintenance programs at facilities. Directs the administration of facility contracts and vendor services at all locations. JOB DUTIES Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and performance management of staff.

Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Requires the ability to gain acceptance from others in complex situations. May manage activities of two or more departments.

Provides leadership to managers, supervisors and/or professional staff. Provides substantial input to the budgeting process. Responsible for budgetary decisions within functional area according to organizational policy/guidelines.

Recommends financial decisions that impact area of responsibility. ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES Develops and implements policies and procedures for threat reduction based on monitoring of Facility control and access systems and industry best practices Develops physical access policy and procedures that will provide 100% accountability of personnel and hard assets located on facilities Maintains the Corporate Physical Security standard policy as well as the Security groups Physical access policy and procedure documents Evaluates the security practices at each location, the access required and recommend appropriate changes to policies, procedures and facilities Leads the physical security incidence response program and coordinate with the Information Systems Security group in developing a comprehensive program that addresses gaps Manages all internal and external physical security audits and implement appropriate recommendations for the Physical Security group procedures Manages working relationships with external law enforcement authorities and city government and provide advisories when new threats are forecasted for the surrounding areas Manages the staff that delivers and maintains the environmental health, safety and maintenance programs at facilities Develops programs to maximize the use of building assets, including space, systems, furniture, fixtures and equipment; makes recommendations in planning, including estimating space requirements, equipment needs, requirements for buildings and grounds maintenance, renovations and contractual services Develops policies, procedures and methodologies for the reliable operation of the building infrastructure, facilities, and related support equipment Oversees all short and long term facilities space requirements planning Ensures that Federal, State, Environmental and OSHA regulations are followed Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with staff members in other departments Researches future trends in the industry and remains expert in the technology for site security and facilities enhancement EXPERIENCE Requires minimum 10 years related work experience and 3 years in leadership role in excess of degree requirements Requires minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate security EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree : Criminal Justice, Business Administration or related field (Required)or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required CERTIFICATION Private Security Registration Level III license (Required) CPP Certified Protection Professional (Preferred) Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) (Preferred) Facility Management Professional (FMP) (Preferred) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) (Preferred) FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) (Preferred) Location: This position will be primarily located in Taylor, TX, just northeast of Austin.

Familiarity with Jira Work Order Ticketing System a plus. * Provides assistance in maintaining office appearance, meeting and event set up, coordination, tear down and clean up. * Provide minor AV support for office meeting rooms. * Act as site Emergency Safety Team Leader. Maintain and propose emergency response plans including evacuation, implementation of after-hours emergency response, and environmental health and safety. * Issue security badge access for all employees and manage visitor check in/out. * Monitors spending for office, breakroom, and general facilities supplies and assists with the preparation of annual office budgets. * Generates and assists in preparation for new hire(s) orientation and office preparation. Desk set up, name tag creation and placement. * Coordinates and updates floorplan seating chart on a scheduled basis. * Conduct various audits and other administrative duties assigned. * Chairs the office Culture Committee to organize quality of life events; to include birthday celebrations, company celebrations and annual events. * Assists with coordination of requests for office remodels, reconfigurations, and moves. * Assists with planning, coordinating, estimating, and scheduling maintenance and building projects. * Liaises with Property Management firm for office needs such as temperature adjustments * Support general receiving functions and perform all related administrative documentation associated with receiving & shipping Qualifications: * Minimum High School Diploma, College preferred. * 5-year administrative office experience, or hotel front desk experience desired.
