We are seeking an Analytics Leader for Workday reports/analytics development and strategy as well as analytics outside of Workday. Upon joining Samsung, you will become an integral part of our newly created HR Shared Services Center. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team to the next generation of analytics including predictive, while supporting current analytics and advanced reporting needs of multiple subsidiaries across North America
Role and Responsibilities
Data analysis, designing and deploying dashboards, and identifying key trends based on data.
Developing key metric reports and implementing in a timely manner.
Ensuring high quality data is presented in a logical and understandable format for the user.
Developing executive report summaries for senior leadership.
Providing strategic analysis to senior level management, translating analysis into informed decisions.
Supporting multiple subsidiaries across North America with diverse organizational needs, to include Production, R&D and Sales & Marketing.
Providing analytics that meet the needs of these varying business lines.
Providing architectural guidance and solution engineering in support of Human Resource data reporting automation and enhancements.
Working with key management members to identify automation or report enhancement opportunities (including alternative approaches to data visualization) and data process streamlining.
Assisting in the design, development, testing and implementation of new or modified systems to meet changing requirements.
Establish audit procedures for database, queries and reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Establish schedules to ensure reports are generated and distributed in a timely manner.
Understanding of SQL, queries and overall database administration to provide direction for team members.
Lead and develop team members in the areas of dashboards, scorecards, predictive analytics and machine learning in order to grow their capabilities and progress our analytics delivery.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 6-10 years of directly related experience is required.
MBA or other advanced degree in business or quantitative discipline a significant plus.
Strong data analytical skills, project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
Prior knowledge of Business Intelligence software, including Tableau and R.
Understanding of HR business practices and HCM tools, including Workday and its reporting capabilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage in a rapid change.
Detailed oriented person with strong leadership experience willing to take on a challenge.
Ability to lead, motivate, and direct the activities of other employees in order to achieve objectives, project schedules, and team goals and to complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
Ability to develop tasks and work assignments, clearly define objectives, and give technical direction with applied knowledge of alternatives.
Must be able to influence others in acceptance, approval and to provide technical clarification.
Intermediate computer skills with other Microsoft business applications software, compensation software packages, organization software packages.
Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills for researching, analyzing, developing, and leading in the implementation of Human Resources related programs and recommendations.
This includes a high degree of sensitivity and change management abilities to intercultural personnel and corporate dynamics.
