Software company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs/In-House Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, the Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs/In-House Counsel will play a crucial role in managing regulatory compliance, with a primary focus on collections and litigation. This position is well-suited for an individual who possesses a solid legal background and is eager to develop expertise in a practical, fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Lead and manage collections efforts, including developing strategies, negotiating settlements, and overseeing litigation processes.
  1. Handle litigation matters, including case management, legal research, and representation in legal proceedings.
  1. Assist in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, such as client services, strategic alliances, nondisclosure, subcontractor, and licensing agreements.
  1. Support data security and privacy management, including SOC audits and preparation of data processing agreements.
  1. Provide legal assistance on a range of matters including commercial, employment, and corporate law under senior guidance.
  1. Support ACA client services and Pay Parity services with a focus on compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  1. Aid HR and payroll departments in addressing employment law issues, including policy development and employee relations.
  1. Help in identifying and evaluating legal risks in business opportunities, and assist in assessing the legal implications of business actions.
  1. Support the General Counsel in various corporate legal matters.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Must be admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing.
  1. 2-4 years of legal experience, with a strong emphasis on collections and litigation.
  1. Basic understanding of negotiation and contract drafting.
  1. Adept at handling multiple tasks, attentive to detail, and able to work under pressure.
  1. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  1. Self-driven, flexible, and coachable, with a strong commitment to personal and professional development.
  1. Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Compensation

  1. Base Salary: $135,000 - $180,000+ per year
  1. Healthcare Plans (medical, dental, and vision)
  1. 401K Plan: Eligibility for participation in the Company's 401K plan, for which you will become eligible effective on the first day of the month after completing sixty (60) days of employment. The 401K Plan is currently funded by employee contributions only
  1. Paid Time Off (PTO): fifteen (15) days of PTO on an annual basis.
