Current Assignment The incumbent plans, directs, manages and oversees the activities and operations of the Performance Analytics Division within the Performance and Audit department.
Major functional areas include management of the District's performance improvement and management analyses program, including tasks related to organizational transformation (risk management, change management), prioritizing projects and program; strategizing and implementing District-wide cultural change; identifying and applying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other performance metrics; aligning performance analytics with the BART Strategic Plan, asset management program, and budget processes, and; developing performance management policies and procedures.
The incumbent will also provide highly responsible and complex administrative and technical support to the Chief Performance and Audit Officer, and perform related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas: Effectively developing, presenting, and advancing process improvements Prioritizing agency resources and needs, and implementing sustainable processes, strategies, and programs Developing and implementing all aspects of risk management and change management programs Effectively manage internal and consultant staff in conducting performance management, performance improvement, and management analyses; and implementing findings and recommendations Developing and applying Key Performance Indicators Developing policies and strategies; ability to monitor performance and make recommendations for change and improvements as needed Advanced understanding of the complex and challenging issues facing large government organizations and/or transportation in general.
