FSCA, the largest independent fleet maintenance company in the country, is currently hiring a Sr. Manager of Fleet Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing company's fleet of service vehicles, along with providing operational support on broad range of various business processes and initiatives.
Duties
Manage day to day Fleet Operation to maximize vehicle uptime and minimize expenses
Provides Operations Management support across broad areas of the company.
Serves as project manager for critical / complex initiatives, specifically improving the Preventative Maintenance (PMs) completed on the fleet within various markets.
Researches and analyzes problems, develops plans, solutions models and recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Develops project plans and costs, including personnel and fiscal requirements to achieve defined objectives.
Recommends process changes and systems solutions that meet both near-term tactical and long-term strategic needs.
Establish relationships with local business partners to communicate and enforce corporate fleet policies, processes, and standards.
Assist management in executing operational business plans and implementing procedures to improve efficiency.
Maintain operational requirements by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing production and control standards and procedures while ensuring cost, quality and delivery commitments are met.
Develop and maintain outside vendor and service provider relationships, including but not limited to: fuel, maintenance, parts and other essential services.
Work with multiple stakeholders to better utilize team resources to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service against key performance indicators.
Ensure Market compliance to established maintenance guidelines and track statuses on out of service vehicles within the market.
Works on complex business problems that may include multiple functions and stakeholders.
Keeps up to date with legislation, rulings, and other developments that affect fleet operations, including OSHA and DOT.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years' experience in a related field
5+ years of experience in management or leadership role.
Knowledge of fleet management software (Karmak, TRAIT, Mitchell One, or similar) Highly Preferred
Advanced computer skills include knowledge of Microsoft programs, specifically, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Ability to perform data analysis and make recommendations on changes to policies, procedures, processes or methods as needed.
Ability to maintain accurate records, asset inventories and to create/analyze reports.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with peers, business partners, and leadership.
Ability to interact with internal and external business partners supporting corporate policy, standards, processes and procedures.
Proficient in understanding, analysis, and management of vehicle information to provide recommendations.
Self-motivated, able to manage expectations, prioritize work to meet deadlines, and work under pressure in a fast paced, high-energy environment.
Strong customer service and organization skills required.
Works well in a team environment by supporting departmental initiatives and goals.
