Amazon is looking for a Data Center Quality Assurance / Quality Controls (QA/QC) Senior Manager to develop, implement, and manage the QA/QC program for the end to end data center life-cycle (design, material sourcing, construction, final inspection/testing/commissioning, customer turnover, and warranty).

The QA/QC Senior Manager will work on some of the most technical, cost-efficient, and fast-paced design and construction projects in the world. The successful candidate will be obsessed with customers and quality improvement, and will be hands-on and committed to creating, launching, and improving a world-class quality assurance and controls program.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve a QA/QC program globally across the data center life-cycle. Engage with global stakeholders throughout the life-cycle to improve data center quality.

  • Track and analyze quality failures and recurring issues; identify solutions through root cause analysis.

  • Develop metrics to analyze and view quality improvement. Communicate quality status updates and metrics to stakeholders.

  • Execute and audit feedback mechanisms to ensure quality issues are fixed permanently.

  • Work alongside design engineering, procurement, construction management, and operations stakeholders throughout the project life-cycle.

  • Research proposed design, sourcing, and construction components and methods to ensure quality and customer needs.

  • Oversee commissioning and integrated system testing as it pertains to quality improvement. This is to include L0 L5 coordinated planning and key quality metrics.

  • Coordinate with on-site Amazon Data Center Construction Managers to audit the General Contractor's quality control program including quality control inspection schedules and collection of quality records. Evaluate the qualifications of General Contractor Quality Control personnel.

  • After construction, coordinate with the operations stakeholders to investigate warranty issues and prevent in future construction. Participate in failure and damage analyses, assess options, and propose solutions.

  • Research, document, and champion best practices of data center QA/QC.

  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine quality standards. Provide technical and statistical expertise to stakeholders.

  • Participate with an active role on internal continuous improvement teams. Improve continuous improvement processes for QA/QC parameters and focus.

  • Develop and implement QA/QC training programs.

  • Plan and create quality assurance/quality control documents across the life-cycle of the data center development process.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve QA/QC KPIs across the data center product life-cycle.

  • Travel to vendor manufacturing locations and datacenter sites for quality assurance checks, electrical systems audits, mechanical system reviews, constructability reviews, startup testing, commissioning, and warranty resolution. Estimated global travel is 25%.
