The Position

The Sr. Manager of Measurement Strategy will be a core member of the division of NBCU's Ad Sales Insights & Measurement team that is focused on evaluating long-term growth opportunities for the wider sales organization. This role will be hands on with multiple linear, digital and multiplatform datasets, supporting key strategic analyses to inform the evolving priorities of the business.

Superior analytics skills and a collaborative spirit are must-haves for this high visibility, future-focused role. Our Sr. Manager of Measurement Strategy will work across the Ad Sales portfolio, driving key analyses and positioning work tethered to priority business initiatives like NBCUniversal's OTT service, commercial innovation projects and more. To this end, s/he will actively partner with NBCU's larger Insights & Measurement organization, Ad Sales Strategy and Ad Operations to bring a cohesive perspective to his/her work.

Responsibilities for the Sr. Manager, Measurement Strategy include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as key architect for executing analyses to inform key business decisions related to strategic priorities, using syndicated and census-level measurement sources

  • Develop measurement plan for proving out the value of NBCUniversal's commercial innovation strategies, partnering with the larger Insights & Measurement teams to provide client-level insight and support

  • Liaise with internal teams to build out A/B testing and optimization solutions

  • Partner with digital analytics teams to analyze consumer-consumption patterns and identify new ad opportunities

  • Actively communicate and share learnings with individual teams across Insights & Measurement and Ad Sales Strategy to move the business forward

  • Think critically, ask questions and challenge convention

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree from an accredited and recognized institution of higher learning is required
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics in a media company, digital agency, research vendor or financial institution
  • 4+ years of experience in working with census-level/1st party data sets from sources like Adobe Analytics/ Omniture
  • 3+ years of experience actively using industry research tools including but not limited to Nielsen Media Research, com

Score, MRI, Simmons, com

Score and others

  • Strong understanding and interest in media measurement across linear and digital platforms, with experience in the convergence of the two

  • Working knowledge of core offerings and functionality of digital ad servers like Freewheel and Google Ad Manager

  • Proven ability to demonstrate technical expertise in media measurement practices

  • Curiosity and passion for the evolution of the media space, including existing NBCU brands, competitors, emerging technologies, cultural trends and current challenges

This role is part of the Insights and Analytics Team (I&A), which is a new and exciting team striving to provide best-in class analytic support. Our charter is to provide meaningful insights that inform our business/customer marketing strategies as well as our broader Wells Fargo strategic initiatives through growth opportunities. Within I&A, Marketing Measurement is a critical function that helps us measure, optimize and predict the impacts of our Marketing investments. Within MM, Media Optimization and Enterprise Analytics aims to help our Wells Fargo Marketing leadership and campaign managers, the enterprise impacts of marketing investments x-LOB, x-segment and x-media. In order to achieve this , we envisioned the ROMI capability aimed at creating a standardized view of marketing return measures, methodologies and practices that help our executive team decide on invest, maintain and divesting strategies. Integrated Marketing and Marketing and Business Strategy teams are Centers of Excellence within Marketing. Integrated Marketing aims at bringing the best in class paid media (Advertising, lower funnel digital and Direct mail) and owned media campaigns to our customers. Insights and Analytics is looking for a measurement consulting leader who has worked in both paid media specifically on digital and social media to come as a thought leader to drive this space. We want the leader to play a strategic advisory role on paid and owned media measurement, Driving use cases for multi-channel attribution, advisory role on sponsorships and drive optimizations for Enterprise across OC. S/He leads and works with his internal delivery teams such as Media Mix Modeling, Multi-Channel Attribution and Campaign Analytics to deliver comprehensive learnings and recommendations. The role will involve leading a team of 8-9 FTE's directly and several managed resources. Specifically, this lead will be responsible for - * Lead digital analytics innovation such as multi-channel attribution activation in Integrated Marketing, social media test and learning agenda across the enterprise, digital targeting models and audience analytics using our Data Management Platform * Lead measurement for brand and brand engagement activities such as sponsorships * Lead enterprise ROMI and optimizations of our overall budget on an annual basis * Manage senior leadership in Integrated Marketing and Marketing Business Strategy to consult and build solutions that aid in decision making for campaigns.
