Why this role matters

The Sr. Manager of Marketing Operations will be involved with critical strategic, analytical, and operational projects designed to accelerate Vonage's growth. This position is central to our success, helping us shape strategy, improve our operating model and execute our campaigns. This position will oversee firm wide marketing operations by working with cross functional teams and multiple stakeholders to identify interdependencies and find operational efficiencies.

The Sr. Manager is the go-to point of contact for a myriad of critical activities, helping to lead working group meetings, manage the team's project plan, prepare agendas, manage follow ups and create presentations for review with senior leadership. Balanced between day-to-day performance and infrastructure maintenance/ improvement, this Director will be responsible for the use of our CRM, marketing automation, data enrichment vendors, and other needed systems to execute demand generation, Account Based Marketing, and engagement / client focused campaigns. This person must be a comfortable being a technical strategist, a strong project manager, and a marketing automation expert.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop operations processes, lead flows, and technical solutions to support

  • Identify opportunities and uncover untapped needs by leading interviews and discussions with current internal partners and stakeholders

  • Lead development (or enhancement) of internal capabilities that can be provided at scale to marketers

  • Lead best in class marketing automation strategies, overlay programs to our customer journey to ensure automated support where needed

  • Oversee analytics and performance of automated campaigns

  • Understand our data infrastructure and manage relationships with third party data providers and use them to support strategies to use data to improve targeting for marketing

  • Perform marketplace and industry analyses with the goal of identifying product opportunities, and uncovering potential market and partner/vendor plays

  • Manage a team of internal FTE and external vendors and provide strategic oversight, coaching, and leadership to keep them motivated and effective.

  • Create a close partnership marketing operations and sales operations

  • Be an ambassador for data integrity across multiple systems (CRM, marketing automation, etc.)

  • Provide guidance and implementation on marketing lead prioritization (scoring, routing, etc.)

  • Plan short-term and long-term infrastructure needs with business leaders, in conjunction with revenue projections

  • Oversee the hygiene, functionality and integrity of lead intake forms across the organization

Consult with Sales, sales operations, marketing, and business teams on campaign effectiveness and support campaign development and execution

Triage ad hoc systems and data issues with high urgency

Lead/participate in Marketing team meetings, sales training sessions, company meetings, and industry events as needed.

Create presentations to communicate plans to internal teams that are impactful and results oriented.

Drive the strategic set-up of monthly reporting, quarterly plans, and ad hoc analysis for C-Suite presentations. Translating data and numbers into insight and action plans for the business.

Manage processes and protocols to support active project and program management.

Provide weekly/monthly comprehensive status reports, project updates, and communication with project team, and leadership on a regular basis.

What you will bring

  • Strong operational mind with a focus on analysis and reporting

  • Excellence in Salesforce implementation and a marketing automation platform (Pardot preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate; effectively working across multiple

  • levels, roles, and functions in the organization

  • Experience executing email marketing, as well as other channels

  • Experience developing data requirements and supplementing existing lists with strategies to drive both completeness and accuracy

What is required for application

  • Required:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years of marketing operations experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of people leadership experience
