Where do you fit?
SugarCRM is looking for a Sr. Manager Marketing Communications to develop, execute and manage our external and internal communications programs to increase brand visibility, thought leadership and promote a positive overall corporate reputation.
You will manage internal and external corporate communications, including all media relations strategy and activities, social media, thought leadership efforts, awards programs, speaking opportunities, reputation management and proactive media coverage that drives awareness of SugarCRM and its products and services. You also will be responsible for creating and publishing a consistent stream of new and compelling customer case studies and success stories.
Impact you will make in the role:
Develop and implement a strategic media relations program to significantly increase brand awareness and promote thought leadership campaigns.
Write and strategize content for a wide range of public relations materials, including press releases, media pitches, strategic plans, measurement reports, authored articles, customer case studies, company profiles, industry surveys and other external and internal communications.
Develop robust customer success program, including written and video case studies and customer reference program
Identify, write and submit relevant industry awards for SugarCRM and the company's solutions.
Develop and execute public relations plans to support events and demand-generation campaigns.
Develop and execute social media program.
Pitch executives for placement in media stories and speaking engagements.
Manage speakers' bureau program to drive thought leadership.
Create content and manage public relations content on the company website.
Cultivate relationships with key journalists at national, local and trade outlets.
Proactively manage editorial calendars to identify opportunities to promote SugarCRM and our thought leaders.
Create and execute internal communications plans to increase awareness and support sales enablement throughout SugarCRM.
Manage contractors and outside PR and creative agencies.
Expertise you will bring in:
Bachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
3-5+ years PR experience, preferably in a corporate or PR agency setting.
Experience in a software technology company or working with software companies (for agency applicants).
Demonstrated ability to successfully place media stories and create customer case studies.
Experience with online, social media and blogging.
Strong analytical and PR measurement and reporting skills.
Ability to work with senior leaders inside and outside of the company.
Ability to deal with multiple projects and time-sensitive situations.
Self-starter who will proactively take on projects.
