About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager/Director of Data Analytics and Insights to lead our data analytics efforts within Samsung Digital Health. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting actionable insights from data collected from various sources, including the Samsung Health app, software as a medical device (SaMD), and new innovation projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver consumer health solutions and develop new insights for products for Samsung Digital Health portfolio of offerings and partners in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Strategy and Governance:

  • Develop, guide, and support implementation of a comprehensive data strategy to support Samsung Digital Health's objectives and initiatives.

  • Establish data governance frameworks and protocols to ensure data quality, integrity, and security with the relevant development teams.

Data Collection and Integration:

  • Oversee relevant collection, integration, and processing of data from the Samsung Health app, SaMD, and other sources to meet business requirements.

  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement data pipelines and infrastructure for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Collaborate with a team of data analysts and scientists in conducting advanced analytics, including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis.

  • Extract actionable insights from data to inform decision-making and drive innovation in consumer health solutions.

Consumer Health Solutions:

  • Partner with product management, subject matter experts, and development teams to translate data insights into consumer-centric health solutions.

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for product enhancement and optimization based on user behavior and preferences.

Partner Collaboration and Product Development:

  • Work closely with partners in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to develop new products and solutions.

  • Leverage data and insights to inform product development roadmap and prioritize features and functionalities for BtoB offerings.

  • Performance Measurement and Reporting:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of digital health initiatives.

  • Prepare and present reports and dashboards to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting insights and recommendations.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, partnership, research and development, and legal/compliance, to align data analytics efforts with business objectives.

  • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on healthcare, digital health, or related industries.

  • Strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of data analysts and scientists.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving business impact through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Experience with healthcare data standards and regulations, such as HIPAA and GDPR.

  • Knowledge of digital health technologies, including wearable devices, telehealth platforms, and electronic health records (EHR).

  • Experience working with partners in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management frameworks.

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $[170,000] and $[195,000]. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
