Summary:

The Manager, HR Operations will oversee and manage the HR Operations team which is responsible for US HR operational activities including employee data management and data governance, benefits administration, reporting and analytics, HR policy and process development and deployment, as well as HR systems administration globally. This role manages three people and is responsible for ensuring current SLAs remain high, while looking for strategy-aligned opportunities to improve the team and provide exceptional service to the HR team and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide team leadership (manage, motivate and develop) to the staff to do their best work; provide coaching, mentoring, escalation support, and daily operational support

  • Together with the Sr. Dir., Total Rewards, develop a strategy and long-range plan for HR Operations support at Seattle Genetics

  • Own the US Policy Manual

  • Own and manage the US Onboarding Process

  • Continually assess and seek opportunities to evolve our processes and systems

  • Oversee the administration of SeaGen's HR-related technologies

  • Ensure file feeds to HR related vendors are functioning as required

  • Support the ongoing operational activities of the department including the annual compensation and equity processes, bi-annual promotion processes, and other regular employee-facing HR processes

  • Provide ongoing reporting and analytical support to the HR function and senior leadership as needed

  • Create efficiencies and improve service to HR and employees; propose and manage these operational improvement projects to completion

  • Continually track the team's work, providing regular quantitative and qualitative feedback; use data to encourage innovation/experimentation in the spirit of continuous improvement

  • Interpret and communicate policies and procedures to staff and management

  • Primary interactions will be within the HR, IT, and Finance departments

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years' experience working in an HR Operations team with growing responsibility and leadership

  • 2+ years' of people management experience

  • Demonstrated background in system's administration

  • Experience with global mobility administration preferred

  • Experience with UltiPro preferred

  • Experience with SuccessFactors preferred

  • Proven record of developing and delivering metrics and reporting

  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills with an ability to strategically influence outcomes

  • Strong project management experience

  • Understanding of HR, Payroll, and general business process

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Six sigma certification preferred

  • PMP certification preferred
