The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) at Property Reserve provides expertise at the consolidated, corporate level, overseeing the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions. This role plays a critical part in guiding business decisions by delivering key financial insights, developing robust financial models, and ensuring that financial performance aligns with the organization's strategic objectives. The Senior Manager will lead efforts in real estate investment performance reporting, benchmarking, management reporting, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, they will collaborate across departments to support operational decision-making, provide financial leadership, and continuously improve financial processes.

  • Active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in good standing, and temple-worthy.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and leadership roles.

  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting and regulations for multinational organizations.

  • Proficiency in financial systems and software, including spreadsheets, databases, and Yardi Voyager (preferred).

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering actionable insights.

  • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across departments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and concise financial reporting.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proven time management skills and the ability to execute a broad range of assignments.

PR/IP

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of experienced accounting and finance professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work and exceptional customer service. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of annual audited financial statements for Property Reserve in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ensure accurate and timely reporting for all domestic and international entities.

  • Compliance & Audit Oversight: Manage financial reporting and statutory audits across multiple jurisdictions. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Technical Accounting Expertise: Evaluate the impact of new accounting standards and provide comprehensive training to ensure successful implementation. Conduct technical accounting research related to real estate transactions and ownership structures, recommending appropriate accounting treatments under U.S. GAAP, international standards, and applicable industry guidelines.

  • Performance Benchmarking & Stewardship: Lead the annual stewardship reporting process, comparing investment returns against industry benchmarks and providing insights for improved performance.

  • Budgeting & Financial Planning: Direct the preparation, review, and approval of the organization's annual operating and capital budgets. Provide financial planning and analysis support for long-term strategic planning, cash flow forecasting, cost benchmarking, and variance analysis.

  • Tax Compliance & Strategy: Oversee domestic and international tax compliance in collaboration with third-party tax advisors and legal professionals, ensuring the organization meets all regulatory obligations.

  • Business Partner Evaluation: Assess the financial strength and stability of potential business partners, including tenants and vendors, by reviewing financial statements and providing recommendations during the approval process.

  • Business Intelligence & Special Projects: Participate in business intelligence initiatives, including the development of financial dashboards and other analytical tools. Assist the Chief Financial Officer with special projects and initiatives as required.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare well-crafted reports and descriptions of research findings, analytical methodologies, and key financial processes, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all communications.
