Manages current and proposed financial plans and policies and recommends changes that will accrue to the organization's profitability. Manages staff of financial analysts. Responsible for analyzing and evaluating financial performance of a department, division, operating/business unit or project. Coordinates and leads financial reporting and planning for an assigned function/department, project or business section; may include billing/pricing, annual operating budget and capital plan. Develops customer/product/pricing profitability models and analyzes results. Consolidates monthly financial results and reports variances. Supports ad hoc requests for business analysis from senior management.
Oversees one functional area or a division, product group or service area.
Responsible for operational matters and effective achievement of objectives.
Consistently works on complex issues or with complex ideas or situations across scope of responsibility.
Able to navigate by having in-depth functional knowledge, may also have in-depth company and industry knowledge.
Interactions required with executives, company peers, advisors.
Manages primarily via technical / professional experts, or via managers within the same functional area.
Receives direction in the form of goals and project assignments.
General functional management may be assigned or developed by owner and reflective of requirements.
Minimum 8 years related experience; minimum 5 years prior management/supervisory experience preferred.
Advanced computer software skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate employees; proven leadership ability.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Master's degree preferred.
