Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support team and/or department objectives. Generally works under limited supervision, but within established guidelines, monitoring the flow of work between own department and others in alignment with business strategies, selecting and developing effective managers and work teams, managing own organization through reliable systems and processes, and producing and analyzing more complex business information to assist in the decision making process.

Specific Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Financial Analysis for the Marketing & Sales Finance & Accounting function is responsible for compiling required information/data, performing detailed analysis, quantifying impact to the business and presenting findings to Senior Finance and M&S Leadership teams. Oversight for the site and corporate analysis processes, sales and marketing performance and monitoring of business requirements as it relates to specific areas, LRP and Budget coordination/support, coordination of data compilation for other business areas including but not limited to Investor Relations, Internal and External audit, Corporate FP&A, M&S Corporate, and Senior Finance Leaders and coordination of month end and forecasting requirements for M&S, Services and Digital are just some of the business needs that will be analyzed on a regular basis. In addition, responsible for assisting Vice President of Finance in developing analytical/reporting tools to support the M&S organization and growth goals.

Specific Expected Contributions

  • Maximize company revenues and profitability by developing and maintaining analytic reporting tools to assist management in better decision-making and data management for all functions under Business Partner responsibility (including, but not limited to, M&S, Call Centers, Customer Services, Commissions Accounting, Digital, Marketing, Sales Operations, etc.).

  • Support Business Planning efforts via identification of issues and analysis of assumptions and scenarios. Review ISP and LRP results to determine where issues/potential opportunities may exist.

  • Track, analyze and derive insights on marketing efforts and sales performance.

  • Develop and enhance science-oriented sales and marketing management tools with the goal of contract sales and cost optimization across all segments.

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting via automation, consistency, business partnering to identify needs of users of the information

  • Interact regularly and independently with senior level M&S management in developing approaches to project and manage new marketing opportunities.

  • Provide key information to be utilized in the evaluation of new product ventures (i.e., new sales promotions, new marketing programs, compensation management, etc.) and other ad hoc projects requested by the business

  • Accountable for processes such as accurate reporting for M&S at the Enterprise, Site, and Corporate Department levels.

  • Directing efforts of multi-discipline teams focused on performance involvement. Involves building relationships across functions at all levels of management in the organization.

  • Coordinates and directs consolidation of information for LRP, Forecast, and Budget in a streamlined format as requested by management to provide analysis on both project and distribution views

  • Review and provide analysis on financial information in support of Senior M&S and F&A Leaders,, Investor Relations, Corporate FP&A and internal/external audit ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of information utilized in crossover discipline reporting.

  • Participate in cross functional task forces (results improvement teams

  • Perform cost/benefit analysis for project decisions

  • Present project results in a complete, efficient manner to senior management

  • Promote associate morale; develop good working relationships with others for greater efficiencies and synergy.

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Generally a professional position with specific knowledge and experience in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology) as well as associate management experience. College degree and/or relevant experience typically required.

Education

  • BS or BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • CPA/MBA strongly preferred

Experience

  • Six to eight years' experience in finance or accounting (preferable with a portion of time in an analysis role)

Skills & Attributes

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft EXCEL

  • Knowledge of G/L systems and other marketing systems a plus

  • Experience with extracting and transforming data

  • Strong Analytical skills with quantitative/financial approach to problem solving

  • Strong communication and organizational skills including ability to present complex information in an understandable format to all levels of management.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities

  • Proven ability to work with people at all levels in an organization and encourage business partnering

  • Proven ability to readily adapt to change and work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
