II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Develops estimates and long range financial and operational forecasts for the division/department. Reports on progress toward approved objectives.

  • Accumulates, analyzes and reports to management complete information regarding results of operations and financial condition of the division/department, including cash flow and investment components.

  • Provides advice and counsel to senior management on interpretation of operating results and trends. Assists with recommendations on countermeasures where required.

  • Stays abreast of trends and developments in finance for application in division/department. Recommends changes as appropriate.

  • Reoccurring Financial Rhythms: Monthly Financial Close, Budget, Forecasting, and Reporting

  • Create Compelling & Insightful Presentations as Appropriate for The Audience (Up to Board Of Directors Level)

  • Ability to Build Cross Functional Relationships

  • Ability to Influence Strategy & Direction of The Business

  • Motivate/Develop Directs & FP&A Team, Provide Strategic Vision for Your Role and Set Priorities

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of managerial employees. This includes:

  • Direct supervision of 4 full-time employees

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (accredited) in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or G.E.D. (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience: Ten years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • None required.

This position offers the opportunity to work with the program management office to manage scopes of work, providing recommendations to the team, helping to drive/monitor various scopes of work through their life cycle, and working side by side with the different functional organizations to meet customer milestones. The Financial Control/ Earned Value Management System team helps to create and track program forecast on a monthly basis and you will be responsible for overseeing and managing this process. You will have the opportunity to develop the skills & knowledge necessary to become a key contributor to the overall program office and the success of the organization. Team Responsibilities: * Assist in the creation of work breakdown structures and program scheduling. * Monitoring and analyze program cost • Coordinating and summarizing estimates at completion data. * Ensure timely baseline /scheduling requirements are accomplished. * Prepare cost and performance management reports for internal and external customers. * Coordinate manpower projection activity • Prepare internal cost of sales/profit projections. * Measuring, analyzing and reporting performance against planned financial metrics. * Determining and monitoring program funding requirements. * Supporting customer and internal program reviews. * Work closely with technical leads to ensure schedules and costs are accurate and comprehensive, and include milestones. * Ensure the accuracy of project planning data that is used in the execution of projects, resource planning, and sales forecasting is up to date and accurate. * Monitor and measure project progress, identify and work program-wide issues, and provide support to Program Management with respect to cost, schedule, and deliverables. * Supporting effective project execution relative to cost performance, delivery performance and effective program resource planning. Education and Certifications: * 4 year degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline requirement. * Minimum of 7-10 years experience.
