Are you an experienced Practice Manager with progressive leadership experience looking to further your career? UPMC Health Plan is hiring a Sr. Manager, Employee Health Services to support onsite clinics throughout Allegheny County and surrounding areas.
This position will work regular daylight hours. Candidates must be willing to commute to multiple locations throughout Allegheny County and surrounding areas.
This position will have shared responsibility for development, coordination, and oversight of all operational and organizational aspects of the UPMC Work Partners' Employee Health / MyHealth@Work operations. Additionally this position is responsible for administrative leadership, policy development, coordination and planning for the employee health function across the UPMC Health System. Responsibilities require knowledge of administrative processes, budget, personnel, and regulatory issues as they relate to Employee Health.
Develops and institutes uniform Employee Health operations throughout the UPMC Health System addressing quality assurance procedures, standard operating procedures and system-wide directives.
Directs and coordinates the integration of services provided by all employee health locations of the UPMC system.
Performs supervisory responsibilities for clinic staff and also completion of performance reviews and or corrective action measures in accordance with human resource policy/guidelines.
Coordinates clinic efforts to ensure compliance with legislative bodies (i.e. JCAHO, Department of Health, etc.) and site specific regulatory testing and requests.
Ensures appropriate staffing coverage for clinic operations.
Assumes responsibility for supporting cost containment of the program. 14. Integrates with UPMC and Hospital Division for the efficient provision of services.
Liaison for the employee health department with other various departments as needed, including for example: Human Resources, Infection Control, Safety and Hospital Administration.
Supports quality improvement and service oriented initiatives of the organization.
Assumes responsibility for supporting cost containment of the Employee Health operation.
Upholds policies and procedures of the UPMC Health System.
Provides strategic insight and direction in the development and evaluation of employee health programs and/or tools to help improve the health and safety of the employee workforce.
Provides administrative oversight for database integration, enhancements and other related data information management systems for the UPMC Employee Health operations.
Assists with communication venues, meetings, and training sessions to aid in the coordination of services throughout the UPMC Health System
Helps provide administrative oversight for employee health operations, including the management of operating and capital budgets in order to meet operational targets.
Provides direction and supervision of clinic management teams, including indirect supervision of staff.
Communicates and provides direction to employee health clinic management teams.
Works collaboratively with the Employee Health Medical Directors, Administrative teams and other department administrators.
7 years experience in practice management OR a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5-7 years clinical experience in supervisory/clinical lead role.
Masters Degree in Health Management, Business, or Nursing required OR equivalent professional/educational experience.
Experience in Occupational Medicine and/or Employee Health discipline highly preferred.
Minimum 5 years progressive supervisory/management responsibilities required.
Must be willing to travel to and work at multiple locations throughout Allegheny County and surrounding areas.
