The Senior Manager of DistributionIS Applications at Columbia Sportswear Company serves as the global IT leaderfor Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Labor Management Systems (LMS), and

Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and is an integral part of the global distributionleadership team. This role partners with senior leaders within global distributionand supply chain operations to orchestrate global IT solutions that support ourmission critical distribution strategies and day-to-day operating functions.

This position is accountablefor technical teams tasked with managing and delivering business solutions for WMS,LMS, and TMS functions across the enterprise. Successful candidates are experienced increating an actionable strategy, roadmap and short/long term plans. Thecandidate should be able to independently lead cross functional teamsconsisting of internal/partner resources to formulate and successfully executethe business/IT strategy for distribution operations and inventory/ordermanagement functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage global product roadmap/releases for distributionsystems such as Warehouse Management, Labor Management, and TransportationManagement

  • Own product roadmaps for WMS / LMS / TMS applicationsand functional areas

  • Work with distribution operations such as Receiving,Inventory Control, Picking, Packing, Traffic, and Shipping

  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise distributionIS business analyst team, project team leads, project team members, andcontractors

  • Manage operational and project expectationswith executive management, project managers, team members and otherstakeholders in a clear and concise fashion

  • Ensure seamless execution of strategic projectsby partnering with stakeholders at all levels

  • Present technical and non-technical informationclearly and concisely to individuals of different backgrounds, technicalexpertise, and levels of authority

  • Maintain intimate understanding of businesspriorities and objectives related to this area of responsibility and establisheffective communication and collaboration with stakeholders across theenterprise

  • Plan and manage IT project budgets andforecasts

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering, supply chain or technology,MBA preferred

  • 8+ years of work experience in distribution /supply chain industry with increasing responsibilities

  • Experience leading a team consisting of businessanalysts. Effective interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning,assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and mentoringemployees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting andencouraging the engagement process

  • Experience with WMS platforms and in successfulglobal WMS deployments

  • Experience with LM tool such as Manhattan's LMS

  • Experience in TMS implementation includingcarrier rate shopping and shipment consolidation

  • Strong understanding of distribution operationsrequired

  • Experience in building IT roadmap

  • Experience in DC technologies such asmobility/RFID/Cloud/MHE preferred

  • Experience working in both agile and waterfall SDLCenvironments

  • Experience in preparing business case includingROI models

  • Experience in RFP management and vendorselection

  • Capability to influence at various levels ofthe business, including executives, senior business leaders and non-technicalaudiences

  • Provide thought leadership, developing newideas/alternatives and ability to contribute to discussion of abstract conceptsand translate into actionable projects

This is the ideal position for the person who loves to manage a great team with an all-hands-on-deck approach, as well as be directly involved with directing the day to day operations of a warehouse. In this position you will: * Coordinate assembly, work schedules (including temporary personnel as needed), and warehouse operations to ensure service leads are met. * Responsible for establishing and enforcing operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory. * Monitor production to ensure satisfactory levels as well as customer service levels are being met. * Ensure that corporate programs regarding safety, security, care of equipment and facility are followed. Enforce OSHA compliance and to assure an "injury-free" workplace. * Responsible for all aspects of hourly warehouse staff from hiring to termination, which includes staffing, development, supervision, and direction. Working conditions and experience: * Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination for operation of hand/power tools. * Extended time on feet, walking distances up to 200 feet. * Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying and lifting (up to 75 lbs.). Requirements: * Clear and effective written and oral communication skills. * College education or related experience. * Organizational, time management and analytical skills. * Good supervisory, leadership and motivational skills. * PC / Windows skills. * Mechanical aptitude / power tools. The Details: This position is Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 5:30pm. The expected salary for this position is $55,000-58,000 based on experience. A DOT physical and screening is required, as is a background and drug screening.
