Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Senior Manager, Digital and E-Commerce will be a key member of Bushnell Brands Digital and E-Commerce Team that is responsible for: planning, implementing, analyzing and optimizing direct-to-consumer programs that drive incremental business growth. This role will ensure the consumers journey from awareness to fulfillment are best-in-class, on brand, and align with core campaign and business objectives. He or she will have a proven track record of multi-faceted digital marketing campaigns that drive conversions and customer acquisition. This position will demonstrate a diverse skill set, acting as the common-thread from strategic planning to effective program execution.


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, E-Commerce, Web Technologies, Digital Marketing or equivalent business experience. Advanced Degree in related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Commerce including technology platforms, vendor relationship management, digital program management and retail media.

  • 7 - 9 years of experience in strategy development, digital campaign execution and management of digital properties

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Proven understanding of web and E-Commerce technologies, as well as digital marketing platforms, shopping cart systems, ERP systems, accounting & reporting

  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to manage a to a budget and deliver positive ROI.

  • Ability to work with vendors and manage outside relationships with key strategic technology partners.

  • Data driven individual with the ability to identify the required KPIs and sales metrics to gauge the overall success and profitability of our E-Commerce business.

  • Great interpersonal skills and desire to work in collaborative team environment

  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities

  • Passion for new and emerging media channels and technologies

  • Experience in Hunting/Golf/Outdoors Industry is preferred.

Major Responsibilities :

Digital Marketing :

  • Assist in building profitable digital marketing programs: work to maximize online and mobile E-Commerce conversions

  • Work with E-Commerce Director to manage the annual investment of digital media plans, content marketing expenditures, technology investments

  • Oversee the production of brand CRM programs including 1-to-1 communications, personalization, loyalty and special programs.

  • Work with brand managers to execute seasonal campaigns and digital commerce-focused activities

  • Help lead the strategy development of eRetail media campaigns including, but not limited to, Amazon AMS, AAP, AMG

  • Aid in the ideation and implementation of new programs that will drive revenue and develop a better understanding of the end-consumer

Program Management:

  • Execute the day-to-day operations e.g. planning, execution, deployment, and post-analysis of all digital campaigns and direct-to-consumer efforts

  • Lead the strategy and execution of test & learn pilots/programs - conduct audience segmentation and A/B testing, deploy campaigns to generate learnings and inform future executions

  • Work to increase customer acquisition, retention, reengagement, and conversion through multi-channel marketing

  • Fully understand the E-Commerce channels business objectives (i.e. increasing sales for key products, implement marketplace strategies, help expand DTC initiatives into international markets etc.) and can translate these into strategy and action plans

  • Ensure flawless execution of major E-Commerce business moments and marketing campaigns across all consumer touchpoints

Technology & Innovation:

  • Actively participate in the strategy and planning of the global technology strategy which includes, hardware/software, vendor support, ERP integrations and shopping cart platforms and direct connections to our websites and 3rd party marketplaces.

  • Effectively work across internal teams including IT, creative services, brand marketing, finance, demand planning and customer service to implement best-in-class digital commerce technologies and programs

  • Collaboration on App developments/updates Work closely with product development team to put together specifications for mobile development and support upgrades of current apps to align with e-commerce strategies.

  • Experience and willingness with driving organizational change and process improvements, evaluating problem areas, and executing digital marketing initiatives to implement progressive strategies.

  • Willing to act as intrapreneur, tactically leading standup of new innovative business models

  • Work alongside Product Teams and Engineers to surface new product and service innovation opportunities for Bushnells direct-to-consumer channels

Team Development & Insights Gathering

  • Recruit and train a team of digitally native leaders to drive positive DTC growth.

  • Lead internal and external teams responsible for maintaining a suite of analytics tools, track website performance, evaluate digital media effectiveness and develop new ways to win in digital.

  • Develop and present positive business and economic scenarios to Senior Leadership Team

  • Organize tools, vendors and internal teams to ensure the business is surfacing actionable insights that drive improved and differentiated go-to-market strategies.
