Our Opportunity:

Field Services focuses on providing real-time desk side support for technology problems and fulfillment services (move, add, or change requests) for our Schwab internal customers, so that they can meet their goals in providing service to our external clients. This position manages a team of technical professionals who ensure that the employees of Schwab have equipment and systems that make them highly productive and satisfied with their workplace.

What you'll do:

The Field Services Manager is responsible for the operational management of desktop implementation and support for multiple geographic locations. The manager leads and develops a diverse virtual team in a dynamic environment, including after-hours support.

Responsibilities also include driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing department business plan objectives, and fostering an environment of engagement and satisfaction. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to partner with business groups, technology groups, senior management, and vendors. This management role will also cover our Print Services Team and our PC Services Team.

Manager will be responsible for annual budget and oversight of orders placed for PCs and Printers. This role will be also responsible for Asset Management and tracking of all printers, and PCs throughout the entire firm.

What you have:

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years' experience with people management, systems administration, and customer service. The candidate should have recent demonstrated experience managing the following technologies in a large corporate setting: desktops, laptops, thin clients, VDI, printers, and video conferencing equipment. The ideal candidate will also have familiarity with Service Delivery, Asset Management, Incident Management, Remedy, and Metrics Reporting.
