Summary of Role:

Leading the US based Global Memory Solutions (GMS) team from our Fab8 location in Malta, New York. In this role you will be focusing on SRAM bit cell related projects reporting to the head of the GMS overall manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Defines and aligns SRAM bit cell related projects in the Global Memory Solutions Department and with the respective program management in alignment with company strategy.

  • Ensures execution of projects and delivery of end results according to plan.

  • Drives the definition and development of SRAM bit cells, their simulation and characterization with scribe line macros as well as SRAM arrays.

  • Supports SRAM IP development in close collaboration with the PDK teams as well as internal and external IP teams.

  • Provides coaching and mentoring to the team.

  • Provides advice and counsel related to the operation of the business to leadership teams based on deep subject matter expertise.

  • Builds cross-functional and cross-regional partnerships across GlobalFoundries, in particular with the respective Integration, Test, Yield, Modeling and Reliability team.

  • Establishes standards and procedures for the areas managed, in close alignment with the global team.

  • Assumes complete responsibility for all aspects of the department, including local HR and organizational tasks for NVM related topics.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Close cooperation with the Integration, modeling, reliability and test teams.

  • Customer communication.

Required Qualifications: (Add specific and measurable qualifications.)

  • Education
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in microelectronics, semiconductor physics or related fields ideally with an emphasis on MOSFET device integration or SRAM bit cell development.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant industry experience in the above-mentioned fields.
  • Skills
  • Proficient in development and characterization of SRAM memory bit cells for highly scaled (<= 45 nm) technology nodes. This should cover FinFET and SOI as well as bulk technologies. Excellent understanding of the manufacturing processes determining the electrical performance of SRAM bit cells. Practical experience of the characterization of MOSFETs and memory bit cells with scribe line macros and SRAM arrays. Good understanding of high sigma simulations for SRAM bit cells.
  • Travel
  • Select travel for internal workshops, visiting other GF sites or customer meetings.
  • Fluency in English Language - written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in management of technical teams.
  • Skills
  • Experience in development of NVM bit cells for highly scaled technology nodes.
  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong planning & organizational skills.

Expected Salary Range

$118,200.00 - $223,200.00
