General Summary

The Data Warehousing Manager is responsible for the technical design, maintenance, and operations of the LSI analytics support environment. They will ensure that the capabilities delivered are in alignment with industry best practices for data warehousing and analytics systems. They will provide technical leadership, interact directly with key stakeholders, and provide oversite to database development team. This role requires a working a manager who is capable of synthesizing functional requirements and turning them into robust decision support systems.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all activities of the database development team and manage relationships with peer organizations (DevOps, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Database administration, and Development)

  • Support the development of Liquidity Services' product roadmap, led by Product Management

  • Establish software team goals, objectives, and operating procedures

  • Provide technical direction and standards for the development of analytics systems and their associated ETL processes, in conjunction with the Database Administration, Infrastructure, and Marketing Analytics teams

  • Design and maintenance of enterprise wide data warehouse/marts

  • Communicates regularly with the Marketing and Sales analytics teams to ensure capabilities meet the operational business need

  • Proactively identify and manage technical risk in the analytics environment

  • Ensure operational integrity of the data stored in the data warehouse(s)

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred

  • 5-8+ years of professional database development experience in a multi-vendor environment

  • Expert level knowledge of data warehouse design, ETL processes, and reporting

  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics support technologies including data lakes, Big Query, Google Analytics, and noSQL data stores are all pluses

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams preferred

  • Experience in an ecommerce/SASS based product company is preferred

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Expert level knowledge of MS SSAS is required

  • Extensive experience with SSIS for ETL is required

  • MS SQL Server, T-SQL, query optimization tools and techniques, and relational database design

  • MySQL, AWS, and Azure data services are all pluses

  • Data interchange via REST web services

Ability:

  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve delivery risks

  • Capable of clearly translating business requirements into systems design

  • Ability to inspire, lead, and hold a geographically dispersed team accountable

  • Can strike a healthy balance between operational support of legacy systems and technical innovation

Associate, Residential Warehouse Loan Operations - Bethesda, MD The Residential Warehouse Loan Operations team in Bethesda, MD is seeking an Associate, who possesses a thorough understanding of the basic principles governing commercial loan documentation and operations. The primary functions of this role include the closing, booking, and ongoing servicing activities for the Financial Institution Group's new Residential Warehousing line of business. The Associate will serve as the primary contact for driving the closing process of commercial deals in this portfolio, which includes new loans, modifications and extensions. The role includes multiple analytical components such as interpreting legal agreements to board deal terms on our commercial systems and handle ongoing/ad-hoc servicing, reconciliation and remediation related to managing various accruals and balances. The ability to learn quickly and to adapt to change are important skills to the role as well as great communication skills and product knowledge. Additionally important is the ability to clearly convey complex concepts and issues in a concise way; as well work collaboratively among stakeholders to help facilitate ongoing change management. Responsibilities and Ideal Candidate: * Drive the closing process for commercial loan products, including documentation gathering, submission of necessary paperwork, due diligence and working with the Relationship Manager/Underwriting team to gain an understanding of the deal structure * Review legal documents and advise on funding mechanics and operational requirements as it pertains to internal booking locations, regional and currency policies * Ensure that new commercial loans and renewals are closed in compliance with the Bank's loan policy and in compliance with any other requirements designated by the credit approval * Complete post-closing steps to ensure that all necessary documentation is received by downstream partners * Book and fund new commercial loans, renewals, and modifications in our loan accounting systems * Perform ongoing servicing activities including advances, payments, and maintenance and updates per loan documentation * Perform reconciliation of loan accounting system with our Residential Warehousing collateral management system to ensure all key customer and balance information in alignment * Perform daily reconciliation of clients DDA accounts and outgoing wire verification * Perform process quality reviews of associates work for accuracy and completeness * Articulate and focus within direct sphere of influence and when interacting with outside teams * Independently manages workflow for assigned deals and contributes to team success * Proactively identifies issues/opportunities and progresses appropriately * Develops and provides guidance to others in team by sharing knowledge and training * Can work in an ambiguous environment * Demonstrates ability to balance data with other factors when making decisions * Remain current on all pending and proposed regulatory changes affecting compliance * Other duties as assigned * Ability to complete tasks in a consistent and timely manner * Strong written and oral communication skills * Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and keen attention to details * Strong organizational skills * Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Basic Qualifications: * High School Degree, GED or equivalent certification * At least 1 year of experience with the Loan Closing process Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree or Military experience * At least 1 year of experience with ACBS, Loan IQ or a similar loan accounting system * At least 1 year of experience with Residential Warehousing Operations * At least 1 year of experience with Loan and Legal Documentation * At least 1 year of experience with Intralinks, SyndTrack or other similar applications * At least 2 years of experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint * At least 1 year of experience with Google Suite At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
