Position Summary:

This is a senior position within the Strategic Development organization reporting to the Director of Data & Integration solutions. This group has responsibility for Analytical Data Service for Comcast. One of the major goal is to harmonize the data ingestion and consumption layer across Comcast. The position is especially responsible working across multiple solution, business partner, program, and project to harmonize, process, integrate data platform and assets within Comcast.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and partner with technical and business team to present, define, strategies, requirement, road-map, budget, solution. Prepare and present Gap analysis, for technology and business solution up-to VP level. Manage and support all project related architect, design, development, deployment of data-oriented integration across platform and projects. The Sr. Manager must have strong understanding and previous hands- on working knowledge.

  • Manages deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets. Implements performance metrics and prepares reports indicating team effectiveness.

  • Manages the development of tools that measure and report adherence to customer defined SLAs.

  • Manage and lead Outage call, supporting 7x24, SLA driven Ecosystems

  • Monitors and tracks project progress and reports findings to leadership team

  • Ability to initiate and follow through on complex projects of both short and long-term duration required.

  • Ensures all engineers keep current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products.

  • Provides active coaching and management to development staff and mentors across the organization.

  • Provides direction for diverse and complex initiatives and is accountable for a variety of tasks to architect and deliver data warehousing solutions that exceed customer expectations in content, usability, accuracy, reliability and performance while assuming a leading role within agile teams (both on-shore and off-shore)

  • Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy.

  • Manages multiple teams of professionals.

  • Manage development of End to End solutions & architecture

  • Worked across technical and business team in order to harmonization data asset

  • Candidate might have worked as one or more role in his/her work history e.g. Data architect, Data modeler, Data integration developer/architect, ETL developer/architect, DevOps, DBA.

  • Knowledge in data warehousing methodologies and best practices is plus.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Effective interpersonal relations skills, ability to effectively collaborate with others and work as part of a team required.

  • Skills in navigating a large organization in order to accomplish results required

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.

  • Works independently, assumes responsibility for job development and training, researches and resolves questions and problems, requests supervisor input and keeps supervisor informed required.

  • Participate on interdepartmental teams to support organizational goals

  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced Degree in technical discipline and/or management preferred. Generally requires 8-11 years of experience with Data Platform Operations disciplines.

  • Experience working across multiple solution architect, business partner, programs, and projects

  • Previous experience working as Manager/Solution architect supporting Platform in a Service Organization will be plus

  • Managing and coordinating the day-to-day planning, design and implementation of cloud services, infrastructure automation and server deployments.

  • Recruiting, developing, retaining and motivating a team operating at a high-performance level.

  • Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, ensuring that application development and deployment is done in the best possible way, and implements quality control and review systems throughout the development and deployment processes

  • Displays technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, ongoing data validation processes, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions

  • Integrating business knowledge with technical functionalities.

  • Providing consultative direction to develop long-term objectives to achieving business objectives.

  • Working with other members of cross-functional team, third party vendors and business partners to deliver quality products in a timely fashion

  • Understanding key business drivers and applying the knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products and services.

  • Anticipating and interpreting customer needs, assessing requirements and identifying solutions.

  • Ability to initiate and follow through on complex projects of both short and long-term duration required.

  • Experience in data related technologies and open source frameworks preferred

  • Experience in software development of large-scale distributed systems including proven track record of delivering backend systems that participate in a complex ecosystem.

  • Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Telecommunications experience Knowledge of Telecommunication/Cable billing, customer care systems e.g. DST, CSG and AMDOCS etc.
