JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Manager, Data Governance role will have oversight of data management processes and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of our digital data assets, with a primary focus on data quality management for our website and mobile apps. This role will involve robust auditing and monitoring of data collection processes and downstream usage to maintain high-quality data while adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree, equivalent experience or certification
5 years of experience in Data Analysis and Reporting
Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related roles with a focus on data quality management and auditing.
Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and experience implementing data protection measures.
Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough audits, identify data quality issues, and propose effective solutions.
Familiarity with web and mobile app technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, and mobile SDKs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Conduct comprehensive audits and assessments of data collection processes, ensuring accurate and reliable capture of user interactions across various platforms.
Monitor downstream data usage to ensure data is properly utilized and safeguarded throughout its lifecycle, identifying potential areas for improvement.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and analytics, to define data governance requirements, establish data quality metrics, and implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices, standards, and the implications of data quality issues.
Collaborate with Data Privacy teams to implement data protection measures, address data privacy concerns, and mitigate risks associated with data governance.
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data governance, analytics, and digital marketing to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance monitoring processes.
