Responsibilities: The Senior Manager, Data Engineering is a leadership role within our Enterprise Information Management organization- and an important player across the organization responsible for overseeing and developing reference architecture/patterns, data pipelines, data architecture/models, and data quality assurance from various data sources to ensure data integrity and information stability for internal decision making.

The Senior Manager, Data Engineering will partner with technical and business data sme's, data production system owners, and decision makers to develop and implement proactive practices. Additionally, and specifically, the role will be responsible following duties: Hands-on technical leadership for your team- working side-by-side with your team of Engineers and Analysts.

Work with our Engineering & Sys Ops teams to ensure data is flowing accurately through data creation to our presentation layers. Be a Thought Leader for the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team by developing and championing Data Engineering practices amongst the team and organization. Modernize our Data Engineering stack through containerization, data modeling, developing our ETL/Data pipelines and more.

Develop and maintain processes for intake, prioritization, and delivery with stakeholders. Provide DaaS while ensuring scalability, performance, security and change control. Design and implement effective data solutions and models for company data in existing and future systems.

Responsible for design and documentation of the architectural vision; conceptual, logical, and physical models; ER diagrams; data flows; and process models. Develop technical best practices for (ELT/ETL) data movement, data quality, data cleansing, and other data transformation related activities. Conduct/Participate in meetings with key system owners to understand current data and system environments, resolve source data issues, and refine transformation rules.

Participates in defining long-term strategy for acquiring, storing, and governing data and exercises considerable latitude and initiate to solve technical, process, and governance issues with data. Analyze/Profile data to assess quality variances from data standards while working with technical and business representatives to determine solutions to remediate data anomalies identified by automation and self-correcting data movement solutions. Support the documentation of metadata including data dictionaries and business glossaries.

Qualifications: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACHELOR'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, OR IN A CLOSELY RELATED FIELD, PLUS 6 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A CLOSELY RELATED OCCUPATION.

Special Requirements: REQUIRED SKILLS: EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Experience with people management, including Agile framework delivery.

• 4 years of experience in Python, ETL, Data Visualization, and Data Engineering Pipeline.

• 4 years of experience with Cloud including AWS experience.

• Experience with ETL, ELT, and REST implementation.

• Experience with managing local teams (multi-time zones) and offshore teams.

• Experience implementing Snowflake.

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $165,000 - $198,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.
