Hands-On Technical Leader to Design and Build Next Generation DevSecOps capabilities for RTX
Hands-on AWS/DevOps/Infrastructure Leader
Architect, Design, Software, Implementation
Lead the design, development & deployment of Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Data and Analytics platform & solutions.
As a member of a cross-functional team of product managers, architects, software & data engineers you will combine your technical, problem-solving and collaboration skills to solve complex problems in the aerospace and defense industry leveraging best of breed FOSS and COTS technologies. This role will work closely with RTX business units to challenge the boundaries of what's possible and drive innovation.

Job Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development & deployment of Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Data and Analytics platform & solutions.
Transform business requirements into reusable, self-service, and multi-tenant platform capabilities.
Provide hands-on development for proof of concepts, reusable components, technical playbooks/design patterns, code reviews and standards development.
Lead the enhancement of platform or solution observability, monitoring, reliability and scalability.
Provide thought leadership on how to fully leverage, combine or integrate platform capabilities.
Accelerate the adoption of best practices and provide a current industry perspective on relevant domains.
Lead the evaluation of new technologies, products, and services.
Evangelize enterprise capabilities to drive adoption and reduce implementation time to value.
Lead upgrades, eliminate technical debt and maintain technology roadmaps.
Foster an engineering culture and contribute to developing the next generation of technical talent.
Required Qualifications:
Typically a Minimum of 10+ years of experience in building distributed software and data platforms; Advanced degree and 8+ years related work experience.
Experience in designing/building solutions within a large manufacturing organization.
Experience in Azure and AWS.
Successful track record of successful communication skills in order to influence a wide range of audiences.
Experience building and supporting enterprise-wide solutions.
Excellent organizational skills and familiarity with Agile Product Management and DevOps frameworks.
Must be eligible to work in the US; a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in applied DevSecOps.
Location:
This role is completely remote and can be based anywhere in the US with a preference of candidates located in the Eastern, Central and Mountain time zones.
Education:
Typically a Bachelor's degree in STEM, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related discipline or equivalent combination or related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
