Overview & Outcomes:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Manager, Email Marketing to lead our email marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in email marketing strategy, execution, and analytics, with a proven track record of driving customer engagement and revenue growth through email campaigns.

This role will serve as the subject matter expert for the email channel and will lead the overall contact strategy, testing strategies, and drive development of new programs and initiatives. A key focus of this role will be advancing our personalization efforts and building out personalized campaigns. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with marketing teams, internal operations teams, and vendors in a consultative manner to lead optimization efforts such as the use of templates and centralized assets and championing efforts to improve personalization capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Execute Strategy: Create and lead comprehensive email marketing strategies that drive customer engagement and increase conversion rates.

• Campaign Management: Oversee the end-to-end execution of email campaigns, including planning, audience segmentation, creative development, testing, and deployment.

• Performance Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on email campaign performance metrics to optimize future campaigns and improve ROI.

• Audience Segmentation: Utilize data to segment audiences effectively and personalize email content to enhance relevance and engagement.

• A/B Testing: Conduct A/B tests and other experiments to continually refine email marketing tactics.

• Compliance: Ensure all email marketing activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR and CAN-SPAM.

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of email marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, product, and design, to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts.

• Automation and Technology: Leverage marketing automation tools and CRM systems to streamline processes and enhance campaign effectiveness.

• Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to implement innovative email marketing techniques.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of email marketing experience

• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.

• Result-oriented with a focus on driving continuous improvement.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of customer segmentation and targeting strategies.

• Solid grasp of creative brief and creative execution best practices for email marketing.

• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines, with attention to detail.

• Ability to manage expectations and proactively find solutions to unexpected issues.

• Ability to collaborate with people in a virtual environment and different time zones.

• Excels in verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills - particularly when collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Understanding of major ESP capabilities e.g. Responsys, Salesforce, Adobe, etc. a plus.

Locations
