Shared services teams are headquartered in Middleton, Wisconsin but have members across the country.Job SummaryThe Sr. Manager, Credit Risk and Collection is responsible for overseeing customer risk and collection operations in accordance with FSS policies and procedures across multiple divisions interacting with internal and external teams focused on minimizing bad debt write offs and maximizing collection results. In addition to overseeing risk & collection, the Sr. Manager, Credit and Collections provides regular scorecard updates and results for on shore and offshore team members and serves as a resource for global credit risk / collection review.This role will work closely with cross functional business teams to review, recommend, and align on credit line positions and sales terms through regular risk reviews and updates. This role will prepare and facilitate monthly high-risk meetings and provide recommendations with supporting rationale for all high risk / major customer accounts.This role requires a seasoned credit risk professional with strong analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills coupled with a thorough knowledge of accounting, credit, and bankruptcy laws who will work closely with internal and external resources to meet FSS and corporate goals.Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Responsible for overseeing daily risk / collection activities for U.S, Canada, and LataAm customer for all SAP ERP accounts for on shore and offshore teams. * Leads offshore team activities to gather, review, analyze, and electronically store and maintain credit information. * Responsible for risk team's timely and accurate review of credit information used in determining appropriate credit limits and sales terms in accordance with FSS policy. * Responsible for the coordinating the daily review, timely release, and communication - action associated with hold positions for customer orders on credit block. * Responsible for developing collection techniques and strategies for on shore and offshore teams to optimize resources and productivity. * Provides monthly scorecard aging results with specific action plans for top accounts. * Coordinates weekly review of 15+ past due summary and coordinates appropriate collection plan with extended team. * Oversees final demand and third-party collection agency to include review and selection of service providers, contract review, and rate negotiations. * Leads cross functional activities to review billing errors to include root cause and appropriate action steps to correct and prevent in the future. Escalates to leadership. * Establishes goals and monitors key metrics, analysis and reporting for collection and risk activities. * Establishes relationships with key customers, including in person meetings as needed, for financial assessment and maximizing communication. * Supports continuous improvement, including processes, systems, and outside support targeted to improve collection efficiencies. * Actively participate in Financial Shared Services organization planning process and development activities including mentoring, coaching, and training colleagues. * All other duties as assigned.Education and Experience Profile * Bachelor's degree in accounting finance, or related degree. Master's degree preferred. * Minimum of 7 years of combined experience in finance, credit and collections with concentration in risk management. * Consumer Products Group industry experience preferred, but not required.* SAP system experience strongly desired.Required Skills * Knowledge/experience in legal aspects of credit and bankruptcy law. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Strong negotiation skills balanced with strong customer service skills. * Solid understanding of legal/compliance aspects of credit both domestic and international. * Solid leadership skills to include setting objectives, monitoring performance and communicating feedback on a regular basis. * Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office Suite and prior support and on hands experience with system integrations. * Prior management experience of a team of 5 or more. * Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.Work EnvironmentWorking conditions are normal for an office environment and include work from home option.Small amount of travel is expected (The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this job/classification.
