Sr. Manager, Credit and Collections

Summary
Hitachi America, Ltd. located in Santa Clara, CA has an opening for a Sr. Manager, Credit and Collections. This position will manage and lead credit and collections group of Hitachi America as well as BPO. Essential duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Major Responsibilities:
Perform credit evaluation on new customers and monitor existing customers adherence to payment terms and/or changes in financial stability and re-evaluate credit terms accordingly.
Prepare and present monthly report packages for senior management and Hitachi Limited.
Distribute monthly report to divisions which address risk concentration, aging issues, etc.
Responsible for managing collections, resolutions of disputes, improvement of days sales outstanding (DSO) and delinquency.
Manage the accounts receivable portfolio of assigned accounts.
Conduct annual North America credit managers meeting to promote collaboration among companies and build a stronger North America credit organization.
Participate at global credit meeting from regional preceptive
Collaborate with Hitachi Limited in Japan to influence and interact with group companies in North America.
Provide opportunities for process improvement, identify and set-up process/system controls to sustain implement changes and solutions.
Negotiate contracts with service providers such as D&B, CreditRisk Monitor, etc.
Responsible for department budget preparation
Primary interface for JSOX audit, financial audit and self-audit activities.
Perform other assigned tasks.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting/Finance is required, MBA is highly desired
A minimum of 10 years' experience in credit and collection, billing and receivable procedures
Proven ability and understanding of effective collection techniques and credit risk analysis
Ability to provide leadership, guidance, motivating and development of staff and BPO members
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Knowledge and experience of ERP systems. Experience in SAP is highly desired
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Independent self-starter is desired
Ability to handle multi-tasks, follow-up, prioritize, and meet deadlines
