The Walt Disney Company's Direct-To-Consumer and International (DTCI) is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company with the mission of providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly-evolving consumer habits. Combining the Company's direct-to-consumer streaming services ESPN+, the Disney SVOD service coming in 2019 -- alongside Disney's international media businesses, DTCI aligns cutting-edge technology with world-class content and beloved brands to expand the Company's global footprint and deliver highly-personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world.
This position will be responsible for driving the global content programming of general audience experiences in Disney+. This position will report to the Director, Content Programming.
Drive Disney+ global general audience content programming, promotion, retention, and engagement
Drive general audience editorial merchandising and promotion strategies
Create high-impact, curated programming events that leverage TWDC brands and franchises
Collaborate on regional and territorial editorial merchandising and promotion
Partner with TWDC marketing and global programming teams to ensure all priorities are coordinated appropriately
Partner with franchise and IP teams to support priority content campaigns
Partner with programming content optimization on testing needs, and testing implementation as needed
Partner with programming data & insights to take action on findings
Oversight of general audience content programming for original and catalog movie, series, and short form content for Disney+
Leverage market and behavior data, audience research to drive data and analytics that determine effective programming strategies
Identify general audience programming gaps and audience segment opportunities
Meticulous attention to detail
Deep understanding of The Walt Disney Company content library, brands, franchises, and characters
Strong understanding of digital media platforms, including hands-on management of web, app, streaming, and connected devices
Strategic, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset
Superior organizational, prioritization, and time management skills; ability to execute against multiple, high-priority projects, with a keen attention to detail and excellent follow through
Must be open to thinking outside of traditional models
Highly developed written and verbal communications skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management, staff, and external research professionals

Passion and insight into TWDC segments, brands and franchises, the elements that define them, and expertise to build further audience engagement

Bachelor's degree minimum - preferably a degree in Business, Communications, Cinema/Television or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in digital media, programming, and marketing or related fields
Minimum 3 years experience with TWDC brands, franchises, and content
