PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Senior Manager- Content Marketing, leads the strategy and execution of the strategic education content plan in order to effectively grow and retain clients. In this capacity, the Manager oversees the production, distribution, and marketing of thought leadership to deepen client engagement through financial education. The manager creates and manages the execution of the go-to-market plan, the outputs of which will drive business results.
Strategy: Responsible for developing and executing effective marketing strategies to achieve business results
Oversees the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the education content plan. Conceives new programs designed to educate self-directed individual investors. This includes defining the vision, developing the business case, aligning resources, and developing communications plans for the educational content program. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for highly complex, multi-faceted flagship content marketing programs.
Creates differentiated value propositions, including creating and managing the distribution offer
Drives brand positioning to highlight key elements and offers that differentiate and demonstrate T. Rowe Price's consumer value proposition against competitors in the market. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manages the team developing the go-to-market distribution programs.
Oversees production of T. Rowe Price Investor Magazine each quarter
Oversees Insights digital communications program.
Identifies and prioritizes new thought leadership topics and oversees content development process.
Builds relationships with multiple subject matter experts.
Oversees development of videos, interactives, and other engaging rich media content to drive deeper engagement with investors.
Manages relationships with external vendors and partners.
Oversees planned and unplanned market event campaigns.
Responsible for increasing program effectiveness
Makes informed strategic trade-off decisions to ensure the optimal allocation of limited resources for maximized marketing impact. Stays ahead of the competition by piloting and implementing new efforts in emerging platforms. Identifies opportunities to increase effectiveness and drives necessary changes and improvements.
Leads and develops the marketing team in order to grow and retain all clients in support of segment and marketing objectives.
College degree and 6 years of related work experience, or
Associate degree and 8 years related work experience, or
High School diploma/equivalent and 10 years related work experience
Proven experience in a marketing and/or strategic planning role
Ability to think strategically and creatively
Strong drive for business results
Strong communications background, including editing and/or writing
Deep understanding of personal finance topics
Ability to lead, delegate, coach, and manage the work of direct reports
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to build consensus
Marketing development experience
Strong creative and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively with a variety of functional areas: Sales, Creative, Technical
Proven ability to research, identify, interpret, and prioritize market needs
Experience in the investment management/financial services industry
Extensive Marketing related project management experience
Excellent oral and written skills
Knowledge of investment products
Strong interpersonal skills

8-10 years relevant marketing experience
10 years related work experience
Previous experience in the investment management industry
MBA, CFA, or other specialized accreditation (CFP, CIMA, CPA)
