Summary: The Compliance Programs Senior Manager will play a vital role in the Compliance Department by assisting the Dir. Risk & Compliance Governance with leading activities to support Onbe's business operations by ensuring compliance with applicable laws / regulations. This candidate must be accustomed to a fast-paced environment and thinking creatively to solve groundbreaking/novel issues.

This role is a hybrid role that will work onsite 1-2 days per week at our Buffalo Grove, IL location. Occasional travel may be required as part of this position. #LI-Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to business partners to ensure appropriate controls are in place to align with applicable laws and regulations when evaluating new deals or updating existing products, services, and processes.

  • Lead compliance related organizational change activities within the organization.

  • Participate in meetings and collaborate with business partners around the operationalization of compliance requirements.

  • Confirm related policies, procedures, processes, and systems meet all applicable compliance requirements.

  • Work with business partners to remediate and find a solution for compliance risks; call out risks as vital.

  • Partner with Vendor Management to ensure any potential compliance risks of third-party vendors are appropriately managed.

  • Report and provide updates to senior management on status of initiatives.

  • Support ongoing audits and reviews, as needed

  • Assist with other compliance initiatives, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years relevant experience in risk, compliance, internal audit, or related field in a financial services organization.

  • Detailed knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g., Regulation E, UDAAP, E-Sign, Privacy) as they relate to consumer compliance, AML/OFAC, payments and e-money.

  • Effective communication, planning and project management skills.

  • Excellent ability to investigate, analyze, and interpret data as well as state and federal regulations.

  • Strong technical knowledge and fluency. Attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor.

  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting regulations, laws, and statutes. Strong research skills.

  • Strong partnership skills with ability to navigate the organization and build relationships.

  • Demonstrated commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor always.

  • Ability to think strategically and complete tactically

  • Keenly focused on continuous improvement and maturity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Strongly proficient in standard PC programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and Compliance, AML Certification preferred

The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $115,920.00 to $140,000.00, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
