Job Description Summary:

Sr. Manager, Compensation Operations

The PayPal HR Operations team is seeking an experienced, highly engaged and dynamic Senior Manager to provide process design, programmatic and operational support to our Rewards team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering best-in-class optimized HR services to the enterprise and hyper-focused on flawless 'go-to-market' execution. Success in this position will require the development of an extensive internal network, both within and beyond the HR function and an ability to work well with and through others to effectively execute. The successful candidate will navigate easily between both strategic and hands-on items on the to-do list.

Job Description:

Responsibilities will include:

  • Operationalize Compensation and Absence management programs and strategies into scalable, affective technology and process solutions.

  • Partner with Compensation and Benefits COE's, HRBPs and others throughout the business to translate high level vision into a clear set of requirements for business, process, tools, training and communication

  • Program managing, requirements gathering, and testing coordination of PayPal's Workday Core and Advanced Compensation modules including merit plans, bonus plans, stock plans, allowance plans and total rewards statements in partnership with People Operations, payroll, and IT.

  • Serves as the Compensation Administrator preparing and maintaining the Advanced Compensation module for bi-annual compensation planning cycles including salary planning, and annual bonus planning, payouts and equity cycles.

  • Support Absence Management program processes including business process, time off and leave plan requirement gathering, process design, testing and deployment.

  • Ensuring company compensation and absence management programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations

  • In partnership with Compensation Partners, HRBPs and HR IT, support the Rewards lifecycle, e.g.:

  • Annual Incentive Plan management including budgeting & accruals, eligibility and data audits, Workday execution & enhancements, training and comms, AIP grants and adjustments, SOX audits, reporting & analytics

  • AIP administration & execution including system automation and delivery, payroll liaison, term process & payout, AIP shares execution, liaison w/ Finance

  • Reward systems management including Workday, MarketPay, CompView, Tier 2 HR support

  • Support development of compensation and benefit program content on our employee portal and participate in the development of training materials for HRBPs and people managers globally

  • Conduct and contribute to various other projects and initiatives pertaining to global compensation and benefits programs and practices, aligned with HR priorities and portfolio roadmap

Job Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of rewards operations. Strong working knowledge of, and hands-on practical experience with, technology tools (Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation and Absence Management) and applications typically used in the space (payroll, absence time tracking, etc.)

  • Minimum of 3 years of practical Workday HCM, Core Compensation, Advance Compensation (required).

  • 3-5 years of Compensation administration experience.

  • Experience implementing Workday's HCM core compensation and advanced compensation module for a global organization preferred

  • Experience supporting Workday's Absence Management module preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations

  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and execution skills, coupled with an ownership mentality to ensure tasks are seen through to completion.

  • Ability to incorporate inputs from multiple stakeholders and build consensus around approaches and program design, coupled with the ability to translate inputs into effective execution and tangible outcomes

  • Highly skilled at simplifying and operationalizing processes and systems to drive efficient delivery of services at scale. Eager to learn new things and apply knowledge to innovate, improve/simplify processes.

  • Thrive in a global, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment. Ability to manage high job complexity and constant multi-tasking with exceptional attention to detail. Well organized, able to prioritize well, work efficiently. Shows flexibility as workloads fluctuate.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources, technology or related field and 5+ years of experience in employee compensation

The primary function of this position is to provide expertise on U.S. export authorizations associated with meeting business objectives. The position of Sr. Licensing Analyst is primarily responsible for day-to-day processing of export authorizations and activities, maintaining various trade reporting systems, administering export authorizations and ensuring proper recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met as mandated by respective US government agencies.
