Job Description:

The CSPO Manager is responsible for business operations across Commercial. They lead the process for all contracting, ensuring department projects are kicked off quickly and compliantly, while working cross functionally with many groups including Compliance, Finance, Legal, Purchasing and Sourcing and our external partners (vendors) to meet the needs of the Commercial organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Commercial Contracting Team by establishing and overseeing accomplishment of team goals, objectives, plans, and projects, while forecasting of volume to predict work allocation

  • Manage all external vendor contracting needs for Global, US, and Canada Commercial Teams,

  • Support Commercial advisory board execution, ensuring procedures are completed according to Compliance policies, including planning, fair market value requests, contracting, purchase order requisitions, and expense and invoice reconciliation

  • Develop, organize, and conduct 1:1 and function-specific trainings

  • Oversee all exhibit requests supporting US Sales Teams

  • Publish contracting and exhibit metrics and present to senior management and cross functional partners

  • Serve as the Global Spend Transparency operational lead for Commercial to ensure complete and accurate submission for all state, federal, and global reporting requirements, while ensuring attestation from functional VPs

  • Member of various steering committees and working groups across the company

  • Partner cross functionally with Legal, Sourcing, AP and Procurement on all Commercial needs

  • Manage the bi-annual agency review process with Sourcing

  • Oversees performance reviews and development of direct reports

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidate will possess bachelor's degree or 8 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong project management skills required; ability to manage priorities effectively and work cross-functionally

  • 2-3 years of managerial experience of direct reports/teams

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills

  • High degree of self-motivation, and ability to work independently and under tight deadlines on multiple items

  • Customer focused mentality

  • Pharmaceutical Industry experience a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The primary goal is to profitably grow PLM market share delivering best-in-class customer experience. Reporting to the Segment General Manager, strong interpersonal and analytical skills highlight the broader skill set this role requires. In addition, the Segment Strategic Planning and Operations role coordinates closely with the Cross-Segment leadership to address key topics including sales forecast, business planning, pricing and packaging, customer success and product investment strategies. Key responsibilities include but not limited to the below: Segment Strategic planning: * Understand and shape the Segment's strategy and mission * Develop business plans to translate strategy into execution steps * Research competition to identify threats and opportunities * Assess the Segment's operational and strategic performance * Align processes, resources-planning and segment goals with overall strategy * Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes (e.g. shift in strategic focus, mergers and acquisitions) * Educate senior executives in making effective decisions * Construct new product sales forecasts and analytical models * Work with Corporate Strategy and product segment team to monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes Pricing and Packaging * Work with the product managers and the pricing organization to design and implement the right pricing models and price points for the product offerings * Work with the other segment teams to streamline and develop cohesive offerings that serves the customers' need * Install process and procedure to ensure pricing rules are implemented and accepted by the field. * Work with sales enablement teams to collect field feedback and promote adoption of pricing and packaging * Fix and fine-tune pricing and packaging to maximize revenue opportunities for direct and channel * Improve pricing tool to support conversions and transition from legacy packaging to current P&P offerings Monthly/Quarterly Business Review * Monthly business review is a key cadence to surface opportunities and risks for the segment, it is a promise-making and promise-keeping discussion to deliver results * Work with cross-segment leadership to collaborate and align on review template, framework and address top priorities that impact the business * Coordinate and orchestrate all business reviews and planning activities within the segment teams and with the business functions (eg. Sales, marketing, customer success). * Monitor, develop and oversee the reporting of key business drivers and iniatives including forward-looking pipeline, big deals roster, channel VIP programs, demand gen and key product release dates Functional collaboration and alignment, examples include and not limited to: * Collaborate with sales on weekly forecast, pipeline coverage and detect any corrective actions required * Set expectations with Finance on key performance metrics and analytical models required to gain customer insights and improve our market penetration and saturation of our products sales * Collaborate with customer success team to get ahead on high churn risks accounts * Joint efforts with channel sales to develop PLM programs that spur growth and increase deal sizes Skills and knowledge most relevant to the job: * Comfortable with influencing executive management * Contribute to and lead the development of organizational goals and objectives. * Strong financial and business acumen * Ability to analyze data and articulate findings to spur action, Highly proficient in Excel * Demonstrated success solving unusually complex problems and providing solutions that are highly creative requiring state of the art business/financial knowledge.
