The Department of Medicine isseeking a Sr.
Manager, Business Operations.
Manager, Business Operations will be responsible forsupporting and managing the administrative tasks for the Division of HospitalMedicine, Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. The Sr.
Manager, BusinessOperations will report to the Division Chief and the Department Administrator. This position involves independent action from theindividual to complete assigned tasking. The Sr.
Manager, BusinessOperations will oversee divisional operations; ensures effective and efficientworkflow from a business, operational, and clinical perspective, and adheres tostandards and policies. The Sr.
Manager, BusinessOperations will also coordinate and direct office services in order to supportthe Division Chief as well as providing support to the Department Administratorin managing clinical and clinical research matters for the Division.
Thisindividual will need to lead, manage, and sustain cross-functionalimprovement programs by defining strategic intent, development, scope, anddeliverables of programs. Designs and delivers educational presentations,events, and ongoing infrastructure support, and oversees program deliverabledevelopment to ensure project goals are met and sustained. Implementation inthe design, development and execution of Lean based improvement programs.Provides direction and consulting for the division in building long-termstrategy.
Provides program direction for multiple, strategic andcross-functional leadership programs for the division, departments, andunderstand departmental workflows, and ensure consistency of developingalignments. Collaborates with and provide recommendations to leaders bothinternal/external related to business development opportunities and strategicplanning.
Trains, coaches, and mentor division staff as needed on ProcessImprovement/Project Management/Change Management/Lean principles and relevanttools. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and other projects todesign creative solutions for technological and non-technological problems toensure that future projects could be identified.
The minimum requirements are: Bachelors degreeis required.
Masters degree in Business, Public Administration orHealthcare-related field preferred. Five (5) years of progressiverelated experience. Is required. Knowledge of businessand management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation,human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, andcoordination of people and resources.
Skilledat identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to developand evaluate options and implement solutions.
Skilled at considering the relative costs andbenefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Familiarity with Epic and other electronicmedical records systems.
Ability to prepare financial and otherreporting for a variety of audiences.
Excellent written, oral and presentationskills.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experienceand/or certifications may be considered.
