The Senior Manager, Business Development - Digital Engineering will lead the development, implementation, and execution of strategies designed to drive Digital Engineering business growth and technology development for Redwire's Business Units. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential to expand Redwire's role in Defense, Civil and Commercial space markets through constant customer engagements focused on gaining and building customer trust and Redwire's credibility as a leader in innovative space capabilities. Candidates must show proven business development experience in the US Gov. industry.

Desirable characteristics include a candidate with a successful BD career with experience in Digital Engineering software solutions to support space acquisition development programs. Operational knowledge of a variety of military, civil, and commercial space program is ideal. Preferably, candidates will have a functional knowledge of Space Force, Space Development Agency, National Reconnaissance Office, NASA, and commercial programs that operate in VLEO, LEO, MEO, GEO and cis-lunar.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development with responsibility to grow DoD/IC annual sales above $20M+.

  • Developing, maintaining and growing a network of relationships, with both existing and potential Redwire customers focused on growth and cultivate relationships with potential partners in industry, government, and academia.

  • Support critical operations activities for the Redwire Chief Growth Officer.

  • Identify, shape, and manage strategic opportunities that support business growth objectives.

  • Identify, structure, and lead capture of new opportunities by leveraging internal research and development investments, enabling new capabilities or offerings to Digital Engineering clients and other organizations.

  • Draft reports, presentations and documentation (e. g., internal and government stakeholder briefings) for senior leaders at Redwire.

  • Prepare white papers and other materials to support advocacy efforts.

  • Provide market and competitor intelligence on market segments where Redwire is engaged, as well as insights on competition specific to individual opportunities.

  • Participate, collaborate, and/or lead capture and proposal teams to establish overall proposal strategies and themes which clearly differentiate Redwire from other potential providers.

  • Assisting Business Unit Presidents and BD teams in the efficient and effective use of marketing resources across multiple customer organizations.

  • Lead Digital Engineering business development initiatives with responsibility to help Redwire's business development team grow its annual revenue. Experience participating, collaborating, and/or lead strategies and themes which clearly differentiate Redwire from other potential providers.

  • Leverages previous knowledge of the entire software development life cycle including software design, implementation, code reviews, integration and debugging for new products and existing ones to offer DevSecOps/MBSE solutions.

Ideal Experience:

  • Bachelor/s Degree or higher, preferably in a software engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 12+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • Active TS/SCI government security clearance.

  • Previous experience with MBSE tools and has experience offering Digitally Engineered Mission Systems Integration solutions.

  • Expertise with identifying, shaping, and managing strategic opportunities that support Digital Engineering business growth objectives.

  • Customer interaction/exposure to the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, NASA, NOAA, and Industry partners.

  • Experience selling consulting/engineering services to industry, military, and civil space organizations.

  • Experience working with business segments, both collectively and individually, to drive consensus and effectively represent organization interests.

  • Demonstrated ability to present technical presentations to internal and external customers.

  • Familiarity with DevOps and continuous iterative agile software development.

  • Previous experience providing market and competitor intelligence on market segments, as well as insights on competition specific to individual opportunities.

  • Demonstrated acquisition experience including acquisition certifications.

  • Strong BD background with the proven ability to drive product growth.

  • High energy, self-motivated with a solid work ethic and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communicator with strong oral, writing, and PowerPoint skills.

  • Collaborative, positive, team player-willingness to jump in and support our team members as needed.

  • Strong collaborator, team-player, goal-oriented work ethic and willingness to put in the extra effort.

Desired Skills:

  • Master's Degree or higher, preferably in a technical, business, or strategic discipline.

  • Experience selling consulting/engineering services.

  • Experience with major weapons platforms and established relationships with providers of those weapons platforms Experience with Microsoft Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool.

  • Extensive Military experience with thorough knowledge of all Services (Air Force and/or Navy essential) along with Joint experience.

Pay range: $162,000 - $190,000
