We are currently seeking a Senior Manager of Asset Management to join our fast-growing Customer Success team. The role will be vital for ensuring positive customer experiences for both our borrowers and investors alike. To thrive in this role, you must be an expert in all aspects of asset management and interested in helping to build a high-functioning, scalable team inside a startup environment. This position will report directly to the Head of Customer Success.


  • Provide a seamless customer experience from loan closing to borrower servicing
  • Manage all primary servicing for the full life cycle of our borrowers , from the review of the initial project plan to ongoing review of project progress and corresponding draw requests through final loan payoff and investor repayment
  • Work directly with borrowers to solicit and convey relevant and timely project updates to thousands of retail investors on GROUNDFLOOR's wealthtech platform
  • Establish lasting relationships with borrowers to develop profitable repeat business
  • Proactively make process improvement and lending adjustment recommendations based on your intimate knowledge of industry trends, the real estate landscape, and local market factors
  • In conjunction with our special loan servicing team, establish processes and procedures for properties and/or borrowers on the watch list
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports of all asset management activity and results


  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Asset Management, with residential real estate investment experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals, investment, and market analysis
  • Exceptional financial and cash flow analysis skills
  • Proactive thinker with detail-oriented and customer-focused creative problem-solving approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills; ability to quickly adapt and react to changing circumstances and demands with high attention to detail
  • Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements
  • Requires travel as needed
  • Start-Up experience is preferred
  • Bachelor degree (MBA or related business degree preferred)

VIEW JOBS 10/20/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-18T00:00 Position Overview: The VP of Asset Management or Asset Management Lead is responsible for the overall management of a clients portfolio once acquired acting as a primary point of contact for all portfolio management, servicing oversight, servicing transfer, and asset strategy deployed by SitusAMC on behalf of a client. In this role, the VP of Asset Management will oversee multiple servicers, trusts, and strategic portfolio initiatives simultaneously on behalf of a client across all asset classes. This may include but is not limited to coordinating servicing transfer, operational review, remittance reconciliation, data reconciliation, rendering workout decisions, identifying servicing performance irregularities or exceptions, and driving enhanced performance by a clients servicer. The VP of Asset Management coordinates with SitusAMCs diligence and collateral services teams to define asset level strategies and curative effort post settlement recognizing the results of loan-level due diligence performed. This may include quantitative and qualitative analysis, reviews of loan documentation and reporting, and assessing compliance with GSE and regulatory guidelines. The VP of Asset Management is responsible for meeting client objectives established. Development of portfolio campaign strategies, customized reporting, and project management functions are a core expectation of the Lead. Overall quality and performance of the Asset Management Team is also the responsibility of the VP of Asset Management. The VP of Asset Management plays an integral role in supporting the management and value within a clients portfolio. Regular client collaboration, servicer engagement, and reporting of portfolio performance is expected in conjunction with the other Asset Manager(s) assigned to a client under the VP of Asset Management leadership is expected. Essential Job Functions: * Maintain visibility into the status of every deal by ensuring the reviews are performed appropriately in the system. * Ability to work with Excel performing vlookup, pivot, and other functions to understand and reconcile data * Raise potential issues (performance, timeline, etc.) to management attention (VP, SVP, etc.) * Verify, where appropriate, that critical exceptions are correctly applied. * Identify performance trends and potential enhancements so that such items can be analyzed and potential incorporated into servicer process or internal system system changes (Servicing workflow enhancements, QC workflow enhancements, exceptions, processes, etc.) * Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager Qualifications/ Requirements: * Minimum seven years in mortgage / secondary market experience * College degree / training in finance / mortgage banking desired * Demonstrated ability to work well with staff clients if needed * Strong Excel skills * Team oriented * Ability to multitask * Excellent PC skills and possess high level of proficiency in Microsoft products * Strong communication (written and oral) skills * Strong analytical ability, good judgment, strategic and multidimensional thinker * Detail oriented and organized * Demonstrate professional behavior and teamwork, punctual, dependable and adhere to company policies and procedures Special Requirements: * The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment * Occasional business travel * When/if working remotely: * Maintenance of a safe and professional home work environment * Appropriate IT set-up including dual monitors and appropriate computer system Working Conditions: * Office environment with frequent phone and computer use * Occasional use of office equipment (scanner, fax, printer) * Sitting for long periods of time * Hearing, talking, reaching, grasping, standing, and repetitive motions Note: This job description is not intended to be all inclusive or exclusive.
