Overview

The Advertising and Promotion Department is seeking a Senior Manager to act as a designer, working with imprint(s) to manage, design, and produce a variety of print and digital ads, social media assets, and printed material.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the marketing department(s) to design promotions for assigned division(s) including print & webads, digital Facebook/eCard creative, displays, sellsheets, postcards, brochures, promotional kits, signage, stickers, and giveaways.

  • Oversee all stages of promotional projects, including researching promotional ideas; approving proofs, and negotiating pricing with new and current vendors.

  • Create and/or pull copy from in-house systems as needed for various projects.

  • Design corporate advertising, including sending files to the outside ad agency as needed.

  • Assist with trade and consumer shows such as BookExpo, BookCon, and Comic Con in the creation of banners and promotional material on an as-needed basis.

  • Responsible for supervising one associate designer.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years design experience with a varied portfolio

  • Strong interest in project management with the ability to brainstorm ideas and think outside the box

  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite programs required: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

  • Solid knowledge of print production

  • Knowledge of HTML and Dreamweaver a plus

  • Ability to delegate multiple projects and work under tight deadlines

  • Excellent leadership and project management skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the division and within the company

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Support the compliance with internal SOPs and health authority regulations, including compilation and submission of any required documents to regulatory agencies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. * Maintains up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations and policies enforced by the regulatory authorities. as they relate to labeling, advertising and promotion of pharmaceuticals. * Assist in training and monitoring the Commercial and Medical Teams on regulatory intelligence as it pertains to HA regulations governing advertising and promotion * Liaise with Health Authorities (e.g., FDA OPDP), as needed, and review/submit materials to HAs * Provide regulatory advice, review and approve advertising/promotional materials and other materials * Works collaboratively with internal customers; including Commercial, Legal and Clinical as part of the Legal Medical Regulatory Committee (LMRC) * Coordinates and leads LMRC meetings and ensures implementation of an efficient and compliant LMRC process * As LMRC Chair or its delegate, provide through review and risk assessment of promotional, disease-state and other materials and evaluate accuracy and compliance w HA regulations * Support the development of department SOPs or work instructions. * Provide training or guidance to new or junior staff as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry, PharmD. Advanced degree preferred. * 3 years of regulatory affairs relevant experience in labeling, advertising and promotion. * Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience. * Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. * Excellent organization, detail oriented and multi-tasking skills. * Exceptional interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities. * Ability to work effectively across a matrix organization. * Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal daily instruction. * Knowledge of global regulations and their interpretation relevant to prescription drug advertising, promotion, and labeling beneficial but not required.
